AOS February Filers.

Yay. Finally i got my combo WP and Advance Parole. NYC offices is really backlogged. Actually my work permit card was approved on Apr 04, but i got no update until i got the mail with the combo card in it. Weird right? So after 57days i got the work permit and advance parole card. Now waiting for the interview letter mail.

Well, the online system is reputed for being unreliable to some extent. But i'm wondering did you sign up for case status update online via texts/emails? (I did)

Or are you suppose to get such updates automatically with the inclusion of G-1145 in your initial apps? anyway just be on the look out for the physical mail then.

I did sign up for case status update online via texts/emails and i also filled in the form G-1145 but no update for me until i got it in the mail. Only my last name (Maiden name) and my first name in it, my middle name is only one initial coz my names is really long lol. Tommorow i should bring marriage certificate, my PP and EAD & AP to apply SSN then NY State ID right?

So Is your EAD in your maiden name? will your GC be in that too? it will cost you extra money & time to have it changed you know.

Yes, the EAD should suffice to get the ID/SSN but the ID will be that for 'visitor' or 'temporary' depending on the state and will be valid till when your EAD expires and your ssn will have the valid for work only with DHS authorization too but you can get the restrictions on both the ID & SSN removed once you get your GC

I received a hard copy of an interview letter in mail. I can't believe it will be in less than a month!

Well not really sure how i came up with that but dont we all make up or assume genger and even sometimes the looks well, I tend to do that most times from the username

Guess it's also partly from your exchanges with Cava in the beginning and later on Cava kinda seem hyperactive/restless/tensed/overly worried person, that he had to be a dude to go to NY from NJ to attempt a walk in Bio... but then again, I might be wrong about him (or could it really be her too)!

Online case status updates trigger receipt of text/emails. So that explains why you didn't get any E-notification.

Hope the online case status changes on your GC approval, or you atleast get approved on the spot, otherwise the anxiety of just expecting the GC in the mail anytime wont be pleasant at all

9:58 that's really specific!

Mine says 7:15 AM I guess I ll be the first one in the line. I didn't know the Atlanta office was even open so early.

Hopefully it will be good thing because my interviewer might be in a better mood!

Goodluck to BobGee & Kyaw on your interviews today & tomorrow respectively. you guys will be the first 2 to go "green".

It takes about 60 days plus or minus 7 days to get your EAD approve and walk-in has no effect on that evidently.

So the following (if not already approved) should be getting EAD/AP approved this week i hope: my_life, A&M WALEO, JAMbOY, Tindsay, wiiwin, Eternity Fae, Kindly waiting & Ichigo.

I'm cool with stats, so I like to play the number game:

one.... is for May 1, Cava's interview. He's checked all boxes, RFE, attempted walk-in Bio refusal,etc and still ended up getting his EAD/AP/IL letter in less than 55 days.

Two.... the number of AOS interviews for this week. compare with 5 interviews lined up for May 7-11 weekdays.... that's when it starts heating up...Goodluck to all!

Three.... The number of Feb AOSers on the sheet whose local office is Atlanta GA, they are dlade, skul teacher & Eternity Fae

Four..... the number of AOSers based in Texas; which includes Team katman, Kindly waiting, Texasnewbie & my_life.

Five..... the number of tax related RFE's among the group..... buttressing the fact that most RFE's are tax related (the Govt dont play with money, especially their money )
