Received my paper NOA's today one for each of my 4 apps. Plus another one because I sent an uncecessary cheque for the I-131. On the I797C which was returned with the check it says:

That all seems OK, I got $360 back which I didn't expect. But then underneath it says,

Seems pretty generic but when compounded with the next page I am worried, the next page a photocopied green page says

Also in the envelope was a copy of my G-1145??

Have they really rejected my application??

Don't worry, they didn't rejected your application. I did the same mistake, i payed another check for I-485 and i received the same thing. I called them and they said everything is ok. I was also confused. I checked online my status and i passed the acceptance step.

I also applied for EAD and the travel

Thing.. Forget what it's called. How long do you guys think it will take to become a permanent resident and to get the green card?! I'm just concerned about all of the next steps... Can't find a guide for it on here. Thanks!!

Yes ClassyBee, that is what i want to do. But Monday i think it will be closed because of the President Day, Tuesday i can't cause my husband is working so Wednesday is the only day i can. My appointment is for Friday so...there are only 2 days...it's not a big step. I just hope i won't have to wait for EAD more then 70 days.

Well. I sent package on the same day as Cava but he got NOA mail on Feb 18, i still dont get NOA mail... Actually i sent Money order not cheque as my friends advised me, if we send Money order, the process will be faster, but it seems slower than the others haizz or just because i live in NYC? Anyone has ideas abt it?

Dont worry, u will be fine. They do not reject your application, just a bit delay.

Well it says to wait for 7-10 days for it to arrive. So relax, The journey is a long one, You'll need all the patience and try not to compare your self with Cava alone maybe with 4 more people of same time range.

Thanks. Actually Cava & i made a joke last week. "let's see which application is faster" lol. Anyway i got NOA1 for 3 of my forms today (I485, I765 & I131) but missing one NOA of I130. I called USCIS and the customer service checked my case and told me, they sent NOA of 4 forms at the same day on Feb 14, just wait until tommorow or couple days and it will be arrived.

Well, Waiting game has begun.

They will most likely ask to see your biometrics appointment letter when you show up, whether it's at the right time or a walk in. They stamped and signed mine so it's a receipt/proof of having gone there. But the minute you have it in your hand, go ahead and try a walk in.

I just wanted to wish all February filers good luck.

We originally sent our AOS package (from H1-B) on the 16th, but it was returned to us a week later due to a misplaced signature. We resent it on the 23rd.

You would not believe what they did with the very neat and well organized package I sent them. It took me more than an hour to reorganize everything.

The Biometrics is usually taken for the Alien Immigrant/I-130 beneficiary/I-485 petitioner (still same person) & not the US citizen

February filers here! Mailed our I-130 and I-485 on the 22nd and received in Chicago at the USCIS office on the 24th =). It was supposed to arrive on the 23rd, but it was late, sooooo I get to receive a refund on the shipping XD
