I am still in response review stage for RFE they received it on 7 March! It should be a yes/no thing for them to answer - they wanted proof on how I entered the country. I sent them a copy of my passport stamp.

Why is it taking so long! I am worrying.

From what I understood from the letter and phone call to USCIS was that you don't get a actual answer, they just begin to process your application again if they got the information they needed and within 60 days of your response receipt they have to process your EAD OR they send another RFE if you didn't send the correct info.

Part of what my case status says: We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done

Pls learn to worry less, and be optimistic. I know it's easier said, but sometimes you shouldn't worry too much over what you can't control.

Glad your Bio went smoothly despite the anxiety you had with the stamp on your letter.

On RFE, USCIS wont be notifying you of an RFE approval via any medium besides the "Received/accepted/returned" notice you get.

Once your EAD/AP has been approved or interview letter received. That's the proof that your RFE was approved if ever you need any.

Because, your I-485 RFE usually puts a hold on your I-485 apps(which consists I-485,I-765 & I-131) so progress in any of the apps, means it's been approved.

Except when such progress was before the RFE itself

The online system isn't perfect and if you are going rely on that, then you will drive yourself nuts!!!

Sometimes, they don't even update the thing!!!

You are right, I'm normally a really laid back person, just hate dealing with bureaucracies. Not that USCIS are particully bad.

I was wondering...How long usually it takes to hear something from USCIS after they get the RFE response? More precisely, how long until I get my interview letter? Does anyone have an idea?

our interview will be on 17th April, have not heard anything about the EAD yet tho..there is no update since 2nd February..

im guessing we might have our interview without EAD..

yesterday 27th, went to the Bio appointment, fast in-out 20min... still no case status though and shows as "can't find the number"..

keep'on the waiting!

I am moving....i got my interview letter tuesday with the appointment for 04.26.12.... I am a little scared about the idea that i need to start preparing the folder with proves of our marriage...i think i am more scared of the changes that will come once i am done with everything. Today i checked online the status about EAD and yesterday they put it in production...they say ill get it in 30 days...but by the time i ll get it, i ll probably have the green card... So everything went well till here....i didn' t received any RFE....Good luck everybody!

So, I received an RFE a couple of weeks back and sent off the info a couple of days ago. I'm wondering if I'll receive some confirmation like I did when I first sent off the package? I received a confirmation from the postal service the other day, but that is it.
