Since my spouse/USC is sponsoring me, do I(intending immigrant) need to include my W2 information (with spouse's W2) for tax year 2011, which was recently filed JOINTLY? For tax year 2011, I know we need to include the W2, what else should we send with the W2 since we don't have the tax transcript for 2011 yet ?

You need to include your spouses tax returns (all pages) W2s and letter from her employer showing current employment. If she has her 2012 pay stubs, include those. If possible, include tax transcripts from 2010 and 2009 as well. Better to over-do it than get RFEs for missing tax documentation.

When I got back home this afternoon, I decided to call USCIS as per service request for my Biometrics letter that I had not yet received. My online status/NOA shows February 17 acceptance date for I-485. The USCIS call center personnel told me I could place an SR since it's been over 30 days since my NOA date.(note, not delivery date as USCIS wouldnt know that & thus cannot determine 30 days from delivery date).

So i duly placed an SR.

Only to check the mail & there was the biometric letter waiting there for me scheduled for April 5, 2012.

Decided to take my chances & So off I went to the ASC which is just 20 mins from me anyway. And I was able to do a walk in Bio

Got there by 3:12 ish , only one person in front of me. And the guard told me, we normally dont allow walk-in, but i was allowed to do it and got done in 10 mins.

Called USCIS later to let them know I got my lettter today after all, but do I get to cancel the service request or what? they were like nevermind, just go to the appointment.

All in all, a fulfilling day for me, let the waiting continue :-)

@ Cavavizz, what's the stamp on your letter. Does it have the "BIOMETRIC PROCESSING STAMP ASC SITE CODE......."?

If it does, then you shouldnt worry, The blank part will be filled after your Bio appointment and the letter returned to you.

helps avoid more RFE's I have sent everything i could think of and so far no RFE luckly.

& If the number of the tax document pages seem embarrassingly voluminous, (As i can imagine, especially if they are for 3 tax years) :lol:

Get a Tax transcript from IRS.

Thanks ClassyBee, that's a good idea to try some other forum.

Btw, the RFE gave us 87 days to response. Not sure from the date of the letter or the date it's received. To be on the safe side, i'll go with the letter date. Wish us luck!!

I finally got my RFE letter!(not me, but my lawyer did) and as I expected, they were requesting my husband's 2010 and 2011 taxes. Luckily we had filed our taxes and I sent both 1040's to my lawyer. Let's see how long that's gonna take!

So I got my email notification for an request for evidence which I fully expected.

Does anyone know how these usually work?

Is it just a letter or do they send your entire I-485 application (G-325, I-693 etc) back? What is the usual time-frame allowed for a response?

Background Information

-Dec 2006: Arrived with an F1 visa

-Dec 2007: Met USC.

-Dec 2009: Got Engaged.

-Jan 2010: Fell out of Status.

-Oct 2010: Married USC.

-Feb 2012: Filed I-130/AOS

I-130/AOS Timeline

Day 0: 02/25/12: Mailed concurrent I-130/AOS Package to the Chicago Lockbox

Day 2: 02/27/12: Package arrived at the Chicago Lockbox.

Day 5: 03/01/12: Email acceptance confirmation received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.
