Hi there, I have recently thought about this topic so much and I hope that one day everybody can be with the one they love. I consider myself so lucky that I was able to file for my husband and bring him here to the United States and I know that not all people can do what I did. I never believed in gay marriage until when I wanted to marry my husband and after. Everybody judged us because I am from one country and he is from another and so many people were opposed to me marrying a man from an Arab country who is Muslim, so I understood what it was like to have somebody tell me I shouldn't have a life with my love and I started to think about what if there were laws preventing an American woman from marrying a foreign man? Really, love is love and with all the hate in the world, if 2 people want to love each other, God bless them. Even if society can't understand a life style, I hope that one day all can understand love. I wish your friends luck and that they will be together.

8 Feb, Sent I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 and G-1145

9 Feb, Package received at Chicago Lockbox

14 Feb, Email of acceptance, application being sent to NBC

15 Feb, $1070 check cashed.

I see that some people go for their biometrics before their appointment is this a normal thing to do? Does it speed up getting your EAD? Any further info on it? Or anyother helpful hints for a feb filer

Hi Cava. Can you update your application's process in your signature so everyone can see the update. Do u live in NYC also? It's interesting that we sent AOS package on the same day and also got NOA on the same day too. Let's see the speed of the 2 applications :-)

Regarding walk in biometrics, i think it may speed up a little bit.

EEK, I may have a problem! Although I am hoping I am over reactin

Received my paper NOA's today one for each of my 4 apps. Plus another one because I sent an uncecessary cheque for the I-131. On the I797C which was returned with the check it says:

"Recently you submitted an application for immigration benifets. That form was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application. Your check is being returned to you with this notice. No additional action by you is required at this time"

That all seems OK, I got $360 back which I didn't expect. But then underneath it says,

"Please be sure to complete this application fully, submit the appropiate fees, and include all required supporting documentation"

Seems pretty generic but when compounded with the next page I am worried, the next page a photocopied green page says

"Dear Applicant, We are sorry to inform you that we have rejected your application for the reasons indicated on the I0797C reject notice"

Also in the envelope was a copy of my G-1145??

Have they really rejected my application??
