Make sure that you do not book any flight tickets until your girl gets the visa in the palm of her hand. I will make sure I get Thu to understand this as well.

it took us a week and half or so, but that was because tet was around the corner

Lucky you. My fiancee moments ago just called EMS and they still have not gotten the passport from the Consulate...but your wife and my fiancee got the pink on the same day :wacko:

Feb 27, 2012: Received email from the U.S. Consulate that our case is finished processing. Requested to submit updated Police & Medical papers.
Mar 06, 2012: Submitted updated Police & Medical papers.
Mar 21, 2012: Received K1 Visa
Apr 07, 2012: Point of Entry @ LAX

Adjustment of Status Stage
Apr 23, 2012: Got married!
Apr 30, 2012: Received Social Security Card
Jun 30, 2012: Applied for AOS
Sep 22, 2012: Received Employment Authorization Card...Still waiting for 2 yr GC

May 01, 2013: Received 2yr GC

Removal of Conditions Stage

Apr 18, 2015: Will apply for 10yr GC

10 days since we got pink...but EMS still does not have my fiancee's passport/visa. Considering it is now Friday in VN, we will have to wait until Monday to call EMS again to see if they received it. If EMS still doesn't get it Monday, I will send Thu to the Consulate to find out what is going on...

I don't know if either the Consulate or the EMS is open on Saturday or Sunday. I will check with Thu. If they are closed that means we have to wait until Monday morning to call EMS again. Just to be safe, Thu will call EMS first thing Monday morning. If they still do not have the passport Monday morning, she will take the 2 hour bus ride to the Consulate to demand some action.

One question about this. When the EMS delivers the passport to my fiancee's residence, does EMS require a signature from Thu directly or can one of her parents sign for it?

The EMS contact number you have is for the EMS representative located inside the consulate itself, so they have the latest info on whether they consulate gave them the passport.

Her Mom can sign for it. My fiancee's passport was left with the front desk girl at the apartment complex, but the EMS person and front desk girl did call my fiancee to ask if it's OK though.

Okay so Thu just got off the phone with an EMS representative and they still have NOT received the passport/visa from the Consulate. Since it has almost been 2 weeks since she got the Pink, Thu will be going to the Consulate tomorrow to find out what the hell is going on. There is no reason for it to take so long since there are no holidays/festivities taking place there. Hopefully tomorrow I will have news that she will get the damn visa :angry:
