thanks you! im gonna start on residency 1st and then on the timeline an hopefully have everything sent out by next week.

last question how should i end both residency? like a sworen statement?

Did the blue slip ask for a 10 year residency and a relationship timeline? Also you mentioned that you also had to get an affidavit from the parents that they attended. Was that on the blue slip.

i signed up 2 weeks before my wife had her interview...wish i knew about VJ when we 1st started.

would doing the timeline in a eassay format be ok? listing events and dates?

Yes essay is fine but avoid the commentary and unneeded info. Stick to facts as you go. They really don't care to know at what exact moment your heart started loving the other or that you want to cry from missing them. This is not a book. The person reading this doesn't want to be reading the thing and just needs to get through it quickly.

Can the timeline be in a list format by month and what we did during those times?

i did my timeline bulletpoint style with the month/year bolded...basically stuff that corresponded with my evidence (receipts, photos, events). nobody wants to read a mountain of text essay-style. i did have an introductory paragraph.

May, 2009--Sent xxx $1500 to buy a moped.

Sept, 2009--We visited Hue to see the old kingdom (see plane tix/hotel receipt)

Oct, 2099--We visited xxx family in Hanoi

Of course if you've only known your SO 1-2 years you can get more specific with dates. I've heard some people doing 10+ pages timeline (overkill imo, it's not a college essay). Mine was just under 4 pages for our 5 year relationship. Do what you feel comfortable and enough to get your point/relationship across to the CO.

K-1, CRBA, AOS, GC

OK cool. I already filled mine out as well. Haven't bolded the month and year yet, but did put exact dates underneath each month of what happened.

Do it yourself. Just note have the name and address of the parents. In the paragraph under state that they were there on such date to witness the glorious wedding and met all the family. Keep it simple and then have them notarize it.

All a notary does is note that they witness you signed the document. They will need a license or passport as proof you say who you are and then sign in front of them and they affix the notary. They do not do anything else. If you have a bank account go to he bank and have them do it for free.

thanks everyone with the help!!!!!!!!! just sent all 3 notarized paper out today. my wife has to have them in by march 6th. now the wait begins.....what are the chances that we will get a pink after she hands them in since the 10 year residency and timelime are pretty common on a blue slip for HCMC? my wife said she nailed all the question during the interview. so should i be worried that we might have to go into AP and wait 3-6 months more?

Have your wife submit the documents on March 6th. Don't worry about AP. If it happens, it happens. There is nothing you can about it. Just stay positive and hope that your wife gets the Pink slip on March 6th. Good luck and please keep us posted on your case

The chances of getting a pink when she turns the documents in are good. Over the years here that has usually been the case. What they asked for from you is what we looks at more and they seemed concerned about something. The ace of the interview is good news though. Should you be worried? No you shouldn't but you will anyway. The best thing to do if you are legit is to just hope for the best and prepare for the worst. You both seem to have done what needed to be done to be successful. By success I mean you two will be together eventually. I will say a prayer for y'all and hope for the best. God bless.
