my wife just had her interview today feb7th at HCMC. we didnt talk much into detail because she was hungry and i needed to sleep since i work at 5 in the morning....she told me that she did well in the interview and that they gave her a paper that my sister in-law is bring back into the state and that i need to do what it says and send it back to my wife and she should be good. im guessing its a timeline.

my question is how hard is it to create a timeline? do i get it notarized at the notary like if i were to sell a car? i will update this as i get more info about the sheet she got...she said all i need to do is do what the paper says and shell be good to go. does this mean she passed? or can they still fail her?

Timeline

hey,

My timeline was like an essay, with pictures, and graphs (minutes we spent on the phone monthly) describing how we met, how we kept the relationships going, pictures of us traveling together, what i liked about her and why we've committed, what's our future going to be like. Now, this is going beyond what's needed but during the interview they basically only looked at the timeline and asked questions (3-4) and the interview lasted 2 minutes without her even taking oath (they forgot). And yes i did get the timeline notarized.

Good luck!

I guess it would be depends on what the BLUE paper said/asked for. My fiancee's interview went well, to us at least. She basically answered all the questions and knew all the answers to all difficult questions about me.

We ended up with a Blue paper requesting for additional info. I had to provide a lot of stuff such as timeline, living history, list of relatives in the US, ect. We submitted it 7 months ago and we are in AP.

there are topics here in VN regional for timelines as well as anything else they may ask for... one timeline discussion includes examples.

the blue sheet states that i need a 10year timeline and a paper saying that my parents did make it to the wedding. which they did because we had a bunch of picture. so they have to sign that so that is no big deal. a lady my in-laws hired said if i fly over to hand in the additional paper work that is needed they will give her the pink right away. how true is this? they paid this lady 800 usd to do all the paper work prior to the interview. and she said my wife would get a pink. the only way possible that i can fly over would be to quit my current job.

any suggestions VJ. my parents think the lady they hired is a sham.

also what does AP mean?

AP=Administrative processing or additional processing.

No do not quit your job and fly over. Have the fiancee take in the additional info when she gets it. I also think they hired someone cluseless. The timeline is normal but never heard them as for an affidavit from saying they attended a wedding.

i figured so because the lady said i have to fly over to hand in the additional paper work which wont fly because my work will make me quit before i can they give me 2 weeks off and i cant afford to quit. i will have to look at some timeline examples and go off that just because right now i have a feeling im not gonna know what i am doing. good thing i have VJ here  keeping my head up and fingers cross at the moment so she can make it over here soon.

Just find that thread with the timelines posted and go from that. Several different styles. As for myself I kept it simple and to the point. Only posted the major times and dates. Some post pages of commentary and how they keep professing their love and how they felt at times.blink.gif

I used someone in the family that does the visa help on the side who was awesome. He also did two friends of mine and was successful. It is hard to find good ones. Just make the timeline and go and have it notarized with the affidavit and get it to the babe. Have her go in and get the sheet.....hopefully pink. Good luck.

$800 and she didn't even tell you to get a timeline ready...and now she's saying you can quit your job and fly over and insta pink??? i'd try to get some money back. also $800 is a pretty outrageous charge over there. i was getting quotes in the $300 after noa3 for services over there, and about 1k for services from the start in the us.

luckily i found VJ...and it's all free if you're willing to spend an hour working the search button.

it's all dependent on what they're thinking. the majority tho (over 80% from what i've read here) gets the pink right away after submitting the needed info. for the rest they could be issued another blue for something else (stalling by CO?).

My wife got a pink and a few others have but others get a blue for AP. I wouldn't even wait till that date but have her go in early. It is your call but mine did and got a pink. Like I said there have two schools of thought on this.

the case is in a form of denial...that does not mean it is getting sent back to USCIS like a refusal to issue the visa, it just means that they are not able to issue the visa until some issues are addressed. Since it is the first blue sheet, it is NOT AP at this point. If however, you have her submit the requested documents and they give her another blue saying go home we'll call you when we're done, then that is AP... Just get the documents together that they request, if time/money allow then go there, if not then send the docs to her to submit... ther are so many dich vu's that have caused so many problems for people because they let people think they know what they are talking about... 800 is alot for someone in VN to get the paperwork together IMO... they charge what they think you are willing to pay.

create a timeline and make sure it matches everything that has both been provided and said in any previous communication with the consulate. any deviation can be trouble. take your parents to your bank with you with and a couple of affidavits saying they were there for the wedding and get them notarized(free). include some photos of them in the submission and IMO a copy of thier ID that shows a picture of them to compare to the wedding photo would not hurt... itineraries for them for the wedding trip couldn't hurt either...

wait a minute.. a timeline and a 10 year documentation of residency are two different things.. there is no 10 year timeline... a timeline is a timeline of the relationship.. a 10 year documentation of residency is a list of where you lived, dates, whith whom phone #'s etc... you need to be sure what it really says...
