I got the letter for the biometrics appointment. The date is not suitable for my family.

I have a newborn. If I go by myself,I have to take her with me.It is very difficult for my husband to take a day of from work.

I was wondering how re-scheduling the bio appoint. works.

Can I ask for a specific date ?

I see that there is an option to request for re-scheduling ,but if they are gonna give me any random date ,then no need to do that.

Hubby does not work on Tuesdays/Wed.hope to get any Tuesday/Wed if possible.

Did anybody need to re-schedule it?

Thnx

You cant ask for a date, when you reschedule it can be a day, a few days or months and months away. They pick the date and time and you get what you get.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You could try to do a walk-in appt on a Tues or Wed when you're husband isn't working. You're right that if you request a reschedule it will just be another random day. Good luck.

AOS (from tourist w/overstay)

1/26/10 - NOA

5/04/10 - interview appt - approved

ROC

2/06/12 - NOA date

7/31/12 - card production ordered

N-400

2/08/13 - NOA date

3/05/13 - biometrics appt

6/18/13 - interview - passed!

7/18/13 - oath ceremony
