So, my fiance arrives this Friday the 10th. I secured the United Nations and our marriage officiant for a short, funny ceremony on the 19th..... but that's it. The anxiety of having everything perfectly organized for his arrival has been overwhelming, I've totally put aside anything regarding a wedding ceremony. Our reception is scheduled at a later time, so I'll worry about that later.

Can someone list a couple of simple points on how to tackle that day?

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Thank you~

We got married at city hall in front of a judge with just my immediate family and my grandparents. We started by stoping in the license office together with my state ID and his passport. We have a madatory 5 day wait before we can go and pick up the license for about $100. We went on line to sheduled an appointment with one of the county Judges and the date and time we would like. They contacted us scheduled everything very easily. Just check out the state where you live the requirements for getting married and any waiting periods. My fiance at the time did not need a social security number.

But remember to go down to the social security office around two weeks after your fiance arrives to get their social security number just makes manovering around easier ( they always say you "don't need" one but makes thngs alot simpler!) ;) Also then as soon as you get a final copy of your wedding certificate (after you are married) apply for AOS asap the sooner you do so the sooner they will have their greencard. But relax don't stress over too much enjoy eachother and your new life together!
