My fiance in Mexico has no record of his vaccination records.

I have the list of requirements. Is it safe to say we'd be better off getting all of the shots they are asking before going to medical exam? It is alot of money at the media exam in Juarez over $800 total.

Any tips?

Somebody correct me if I am wrong...

From my understanding, I previously had a K-1, you don't need all of your shots until you are adjusting your status. The vaccinations are associated with being a legal permanent resident.

That being said. If there are no records your fiance can see their doctor to request titre bloodwork for the vaccinations that they are required to have based on age. This tests for the antibodies. You can find more inforamtion here.

If you have the option find out what vaccinations are missing and then find out if it is cheaper to get those vaccinations in Mexico or in the US.

When I used my K-1 to enter the US in December of 2009 I didn't have all the required vaccinations upon entry but understood that I would need to get them prior to AOS.

Hope that helps!

They will tell him at the medical exam that vaccinations are not obligatory for k1 visas so dont worry. I did my vaccinations last month here in the US, I paid 200dls for 4 vaccinations that the nurse said I needed, and 25dls for the cs to complete the vaccination report and page 1 of I-693 so it was way cheaper than at juarez.
