Did they say they would send the oath letter to you?

Oh, and did you apply with 3 year rule based on marriage or 5 year? After your IO checked you in, did she/he asked for any extra info or docs?

I applied for expedited Passport today in Dc. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.

My interview experience.

My appointment was at 9:30 . Arrived in the building at 8:45. Got called at exactly 9:00. IO asked if I preferred to go over the application first or the test. i told her to get the test done. She asked me to hold on to find out if she can get in into the oath ceremony happening within an hour before she starts the questioning so that i can go straight up after. I felt that was good news I'm yet to answer one question and she was already preparing my Naturalization Certificate. She asked me to go over the spelling of my name to make sure it was correct. 6. What is the state with the highest population: huh ???? I told her was that a trick question as it is not in the study guide. She smiles as said if you get this you pass. i told her California. She then said congratulations and asked me to write it down.

She then asked me all the questions in my application . She bust out laughing when she asked me how many children I had and I answered non that I'm aware off.

She then printed the oath letter for me. We spent the next 10 mins talking about non immigration related chit chats.

I applied for expedited Passport today in Dc. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.

My interview experience.

My appointment was at 9:30 . Arrived in the building at 8:45. Got called at exactly 9:00. IO asked if I preferred to go over the application first or the test. i told her to get the test done. She asked me to hold on to find out if she can get in into the oath ceremony happening within an hour before she starts the questioning so that i can go straight up after. I felt that was good news I'm yet to answer one question and she was already preparing my Naturalization Certificate. She asked me to go over the spelling of my name to make sure it was correct. Comgratulations.I like to ask you how u expedite ur Passport in DC?Do you need to call them first to make an appointment or you just walk? What documents do u provide besides your citizenship certificate?Could you file the application there or you have to do it online and then print it?Do you have to have a international ticket that proves you're leaving soon?And how much the entire process?

Oh my thats great experience Kcash ....its seems you were chilled and relaxed...did she ask you for your passports, dl and stuff? How early did u get there?

Congratulations:)

She asked to see proof I lived in Maryland .so I showed my DL. I think I was over prepared but better be over prepared than sorry. She actually joked about my huge stach of documents I'll be taking back as they don't have space to store them.

They key is to be prepared. Call then national appointment line to avoid delays. I was in and out in 20 mins people without appointments were there for hours. It's not difficult to get an appoint as I made mine when I woke up in the morning. The telephone appointment system is 24 hours. Make sure you have a photocopy of all documents you are presenting. I presented my naturalization certificate and DL. I also had a print out of my held reaseavation for a fiight. I over heard people giving verbal reasons why they needed their passports in a day because they had to book a flight to visit a dying relative but I believe having something on paper is better. I also saw someone presenting a letter from his employer stating he had to travel today. They actually asked him to wait for the passport.

Total costs are around $195 . You can do it either way but I'll suggest you fill out the form before you get there unless you don't mind spending a lot of time there. You have the option of picking it up or they sending it by overnight mail. That will be an extra $12
