Children generally live with their parents. Not much choice there. They typically enter the same restaurants their parents enter. Not much choice there. They typically get into the car with their parents. Not much choice there either. Kids don't get to make any of these choices. And too many parents make aweful choices for their children. Do children not deserve some degree of protection from parental abuse?

He is. There was an article posted a while back about how smoking around infants can cause SIDS and repiratory distress. Paul was the only person who though that was the infant's problem, not the smokers.

I am 200% serious that it is non of your damn business how I choose to raise my child/what I expose him/her to. Just as it's none of my damn business how you raise your child/what you expose them to.

Second-hand smoke is not "damaging" to a child unless he/she has some sort of underlying health condition, and even this unless it's asthma or respiratory related, then it's truly a non-issue.

My god, as I said how the ** am I alive and well today after being exposed to all that smoke! How did all of my peers live too? It must be a miracle!!!!

I highly doubt that. See folks over at the CDC and AAP don't live in the real bubble. They live in labs and base studies off of what they "see" in those labs and hardly use any real-world analysis of anything. Not to mention the fact in the case of the CDC it has that big .gov behind it. Meaning you have to take what it says with a grain of salt.

I would much rather my kid grow up around Cigaret smoke than Big Gov in every corner of his/her life.

*Of greater health concern should be HAPPY MEALS in cars or anywhere else..... what we gonna do about that?

Kids are at much greater health risk, both long and short term from being fatties than from smoke.

Whats next.... no gathering around camp fires?
