Have two children, but not in my custody, do I need their Birth Certificates for interview?

Hi there all,

I am a Canadian resident looking at the K-1 Visa and I have 2 children. My daughter is adopted and it is closed and so I do not where she is living. My son is in the custody of his Nana per court order. Since they are not traveling or following me to the US will I need their birth certificates for my Consulate interview in Montreal?

No if you are the only one applying for a visa there is no reason for you to bring anyone elses birth certificate.

Noa 1 August 15th 2011
Noa 2 March 2nd

NVC case numbers March 22nd
My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!
POE Anchorage July 12th!! 2012

July 2015 n-400 in the mail

September 2015, interview

October 23rd 2015, Oath ceremony!!!!!​​

I have a few more question concerning the interview. As I said before the children are not in my custody. My daughter is adopted out(closed adoption) and my son is in legal custody of his Nana. As well their last names are the mother's last name and not mine. Do I need proof of this such as court orders/statements of live birth for the interview? I have a question concerning custody, but it is the other way around. I have 2 children a boy and a girl. The boy is in the custody of his Nana, and the girl is adopted out (closed adoption). Do I need anything proving that they are in the custody of other people if they are not coming to the USA, for the interview?

Sorry for being a pain in the butt. The children also do not have my last name, so do I need proof that I am the father, even if they are not going to the USA in the foreseeable future? Again sorry for being a pain.
