I went for my b1 visa to write step 2 cs exam today.the only question he persistently kept asking me was why he should get convinced that i would come back to india after doing residency in the US.i have a previous unused K1 visa which expired just at the beginning of this month (broke up with my fiance and so did not use it)i said my parents had settled in my hometown for a long time , have a lot of contacts here in india and it would be convenient for me to put up a clinic here. however, my only other sibling is married and settled in the US.he said , i dont believe u will come back after residency.any ideas ? i think the K1 screwed me.

You know the answer, once you have motivation to immigrate it would be really difficult to convince, you can try next time and maybe you got it. There is no help to obtain a visa from anyone. Good luck.

I don’t know what your question is and what answer you are looking for.

I think CO was correct, once you have expressed interest in moving to US on perm basis and you have sibling who is settled in US.

You would have to provide stronger reason why you would return back after your residency, also another thing that CO might why would you want to do residency in US when you want to practice in India?
