Hi!

Had our interview (Chicago) early morning today. Went well - could be about 15 minutes or so. My hubby (USC) and i were interviewed together.

Questions thrown to me - my date of entry as K1 in the USA; my middle name; my marital status;; my place of birth; my mother's name; crimininal records, if any; current occupation

Questions thrown to hubby - wedding date; occupation;

Presented our IDs for identification

Documents officer requested from us - my orig I-94; my EAD; my advance parole doc; husband's latest paystub

Vacc supplemement was not even asked (i had it w/ me just in case). No proofs of relationship were requested.

GC is expected in 2-3 wks. Officer also expressed surprised why it took them that long to process my papers. (See my timelines). She said that right now Chicago office is interviewing AOS with April-May 06 file dates.

Just sharing. Except for the long wait ( for my AOS processing), my "K1 journey'' has been quite good and smooth.

K1 process

Filed - late Oct 2004

Interview - montreal embassy - April 2005 : approved

aAOS process:

Filed AOS, EAD ,AP - Aug 19, 2005

Received Notice of Receipt - Aug 23, 2005

AP approval via email - Nov 1 touched, Nov 2 and Nov 3, 2005

AP in the mail- Nov 08, 2005

Infopass appt - Nov 25

-- informed that my EAD has already been approved!!; given appt for biometrics.

Biometrics for EAD - Nov 25, 2005

EAD email approval - Nov 29, 2005

EAD card in the mail - Nov 30, 2005

---- validity started Nov 01; means they've approved it as early as Nov 01 and further processing was stalled bec i have not done my biotmetrics ( well, how could i? they told me to wait for an appt letter from them! ) anyways, job search starts for me now.

Biometrics - April 2006

AOS Interview - Oct 2, 2006 - APPROVED

2 yr GC received 2 wks later.

751 process

Filed papers - mid Sept 2008.

Biometrics - Nov 2008

10 yrs GC received - Dec 23, 2008

Citizenhip process

Filed papers - March 26, 2010

Biometrics - late May 2010

Interview - July 14, 2010

Oath taking - July 19, 2010

My AOS Timeline

07-22-2006 Sent mail to Chicago for AOS (Sat).

07-29-2006 Received NOA....They got my doc!

08-01-2006 $395 check was cashed.

08-03-2006 Recieved ASC Appointment notice for 08-10-2006, 11AM.

08-10-2006 Biometric done...just 5 mins.Great service at naperville APC.

08-24-2006 Recieved a RFE by e-mail... Grrrr what 's going on? (notice mailed on Aug 23).

08-26-2006 Recieved a RFE mail for I-864...

08-26-2006 Mailed 4506-T to IRS (Never return back till 10-04)..Why I like to mail things on Sat?

08-28-2006 Husband called IRS for another tax transcript request (I'm glad we called).

09-11-2006 Recieved tax transcript, gathered my RFE package and mailed all back to USCIS.

09-19-2006 USCIS got RFE's package on 09-18

09-20-2006 Email states USCIS has transfered my case to CSC on 09-19

09-23-2006 Email states CSC got our case on 09-22.

09-24-2006 Snail mail says they have transfered my case.

09-25-2006 , 09-26, 09-28 Touched

10-20-2006 Email states your case was approved!!!!

Now: Waiting for the REAL GREEN CARD IN HAND
