Hey everyone,

I just had a couple of questions about the I-485 form. I came on a K-1 married within the 90 days and am now applying for AOS. The I-485 form asks for current USCIS status, where do I find that? Also I assume my I-94# is the only number on the I-94 right? It also asks in part 3A if I was inspected by a US immigration officer, they pulled me aside to do the 1-94 but they didn't go through my stuff or anything so should I say yes or no? I know I am probably over thinking my answer but please be patient, thanks.

Also the place of last entry into the Unites States, do they mean the country from which I came or the first city I came to in the US? I came from Canada and the first city I entered was Seattle.

Op- Your status is K-1 and yes you were inspected if you received I-94 with stamp. I hope this helps!

Yes and thank you for being helpful :D .

POE is the first place you you entered the US the last time. So Seattle for you. It should also be the city stamped in your passport (assuming they did that seeing as you came in from Canada). So your status is a K-1 visa, and you were inspected as you received an I-94 and the number is the long number on the I-94. You are doing what we all have done at some point during this process so take a deep breath and relax. You are almost done with the USCIS.

Thanks, they didn't stamp the city in my passport only that US customs gave me admittance and they did that in Canada. I did think it was Seattle my husband was saying Edmonton(the Canadian city I came from). Thanks everyone, I honestly would be lost without VJ and it's members  .

Your POE is NOT necessarily the first city that you entered in the US. Many places in Canada have a pre-clearance area. They want to know where your K-1 was inspected. Where was your K-1 processed/where did you receive your I-94? That is your POE.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

That sounds right. Edmonton is a preclearance facility. Here is the list of them. http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/preclear_locations.xml
