About a week go our NOA2 was approved and is now on its way to the NVC I have found that the next step will be to fill out the forms that are included in the packet 3 which should include the DS 156, DS156k, and the DS230. I found a link where you can fill these forms out on line, is that the best and fastest way to fill these forms out. and if so then would i just print the forms off and my fiance would send these forms back to the embassy. There is also a barcode that is shown within the example forms (right above where it says to place a picture) that I am not able to see on the forms online will the barcode show up when I complete the forms and push continue or is this barcode not necessary.

Also at this stage I will need to provide the I 134 affidavit and it says that the I134 form should be filed by me the U.S petitioner. how would i file those papers I have copies of tax transcripts for both me and my cosponsor, would i just send a copy of those papers to my fiance who will in turn take the two I 134 forms to the interview with her or do i need to send them by mail to the embassy. And is tax transcripts enough for the I 134 affidavit or will i need more financial information and if so what.

I have read a lot of forums on here that the consulate will not accept the transcripts unless your taxes are already filed.

It is best if you have the original IRS-1040 per year copied and sent to your fiancee.

If you use a tax program like H&R Block you can print to Adobe PDF and just send the PDF file to your fiancee and she can print there. The more that she can print over there the better to save on shipping costs.

The PDF contains the original 1040 which is something you need. If you don't have the file anymore, then you will have to order copies from the IRS and 1040 forms cost around 60 I think and request 60 days to have it sent to you through mail.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge

or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form

(K1/K2 Applicants’ Interview Preparation Instructions-English/July 2011) Page 3 of 9

will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134
