Hi All,

I'm putting together my AOS Package and while I was doing the cover to file I-130 and I-485 and I noticed that there are redundant documents that I need to include in the package. I also look at the step-by-step guide to assembly here

I've got a question:

  1. Since my wife is filling I-130 and I-485, the step-by-step guide indicates that I must include G-325A, as well as certified marriage certificate for both I-130 and I-485 in the same package. one copy of the aforementioned document attached to I-130 and another one attached to I-485. Is this correct? The reason why I'm asking, It would mean that I have to include duplicate form in the package. I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Yes you have to look at them as two separate petitions - they both need their own forms and their own supporting documents.

The main thing is these 2 separate petitions are mailed together then separated at the USCIS. This is why you have 2 fees, one for the 130 and one for the 485.
