Another reason we need to clobber anyone that exploits humans for profit. This person would be in their home country with nationalized healthcare if they had not been lured here by employers for the purpose of increasing profits.

Horrible.

We need mandatory E-verify AND severe tax penalties for anyone that exploits humans for profit.

I agree there are public hospitals in mexico. He should return there for treatment, I'm glad to see the hospital made the right decision.

I disagree. He has health insurance at the moment - he should be able to use it. It is ridiculous that his transplant surgery was denied based on concern that he will not be able to afford post-op treatment once his insurance runs out. There are plenty of US citizens in the same situation, I am sure. Looks like this is not about his immigration status, but rather about his financial status

:(

Give him the surgery, then send him back to Mexico once he is in stable condition. His wife is giving him the kidney, so it's not like he'd be wasting a kidney that could have saved someone else's life.

I imagine is health insurance is likely invalid anyway - i'm sure if they discovered his status (they know now), they will be able to slip out of their contract with him.

It is a Union cover.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
