Starting the CR-1 and i think the first thing that i will do is have my family members do the affidavit? I am just getting started. We have no shared items or purchased items together, and we communicate via Skype and messenger since it is free. And suggestions?

We are married and i have the certificate. We married while she was on a tourist visa and she did not have the intention of marrying upon entry to the country.

So much to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! booooooooooooooooooooooooo

Should the affidavits be from mafily members of friends or can it be both? And also, we talked via Skype and Messenger, so i do not have a phone bill shoing our calls. But i do have records of the flights that we took to see each other. Is that good? Or should i just use affidavits?

Is she still in the US? If so, you don't file for CR-1, but for adjustment of status - You send in both the I-130 and I-485 together. Keep in mind that if she came in on a B-2 tourist visa, you'll have to make a good case for her not knowing she was gonna get married when she came to visit you.

If she is outside the US, you file I-130 for CR-1, yes.

The affidavits can be from both. Usually, it's a good idea to have one from a family member, and one from a non-family member. Employer might be a good one too. If you have Skype or messenger transcripts, print them out, if not.. Don't worry about it. Passport stamps and/or plane ticket stubs showing you've traveled to see her is good. Basically, gather anything and everything you can to show it's a real marriage. Pictures aren't enough just on their own, but along with some travel history, affidavits etc, they can be a major major plus. Pick out 10 pictures that you have together from different seasons and different locations. For example, do NOT submit 10 pictures from xmas alone, but rather 1 or 2 from xmas, 1 or 2 from her country, 1 or 2 from the US.. A couple of pictures with each others' family members is a big plus. Make sure you guys look happy in your pics!

We used the following:

1. Phone records showing multiple international calls, lasting from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours - multiple times a day often.

2. Stamps from my wife's passport showing she had spent a lot of time in Norway.

3. 10 photos ranging from vacations to christmas to wedding pics to pictures from our engagement party with her family.
