Hello Everybody!

I just wanna ask if how long it takes the AOS?I'm filling it last Oct.7,2011 and i finished my biometrics last Nov.23,2011 and until now there is no notice I receive.Last November I received a notice that they transfer my case to California for fast processing and thats our last notice we received.I really need my green card or even though just the approval of my status so I can have the permit to drive and my husband can file the tax. Please whoever knows about this kind of situation kindly give thier advice!Please...

You dont need the green card to be able to fill taxes. Only need your SSN or the ITIN number.

Did you apply for EAD? If so, you can use it to get your driving permit and even your SSN if you don't have it yet.

If i was you i would call uscis and make an infopass to go to the office and talk to somebody directly. You can also call uscis so they can request information on your behalf for your case since its been over 75 days since you applied for you adjustment of status.

You have your SSN? Then file taxes in your maiden name. It's not a big deal. That's what I had to do for 2009. As long as the name matches your GC the taxes will be fine.
