Timeline

Going down my checklist for all required documents for the K-1 visa Interview {Future wife and future step-daughter}

1. Appointment Letter

2. PROOF OF PAYMENT.

3. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.

a. PASSPORT. You must have a passport valid for at least six (6) months. I

b. DS-156 NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. Each applicant must submit two (2) completed

copies of this form.

c. DS-157 SUPPLEMENTAL NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. Each applicant must submit

two (2) completed copies of this form.

d. DS-156K NONIMMIGRANT FIANCE(E) VISA APPLICATION. Each K1 applicant must submit one

(1) completed copy of this form.

d.1 DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa Application and Registration One for future wife and one for future step -daughter.

e. BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Your birth certificate should be a copy issued by the National Statistics Office

(NSO) on security paper (not from the Local Civil Registry Office). I

f. NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel

Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

g. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES.

h. COURT AND PRISON RECORDS:

i. MILITARY OR POLICE SERVICE RECORDS:

j. EVIDENCE OF A MEETING PRIOR TO THE PETITION.

k. EVIDENCE OF A GENUINE ENGAGEMENT.

l. PROOF OF TERMINATION OF A PRIOR MARRIAGE.

m. CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE RECORD (CENOMAR).

n. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form

o. VISA PHOTOGRAPHS. You must bring three (3) color photographs; two are for the visa and one is for

the medical report.

p. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. All K1 and K2 visa applicants must complete a medical examination at St.

Luke’s Extension Clinic.

4. Complete copied package I-129 we already submitted

5. NOA-2

6. Only have an email from NVC with our new case number {Alien number} MNL ##### No hard copy received yet

DID I MISS ANYTHING ??

Seems to me you got everything but you dont need DS-230 for K-1! Good Luck!

Medical Cleared on March 23rd 2012

Interview Date:April 16th, 2012......PASSED

Arrival Los Angeles California: July 7th 2012.

Marriage September 7th 2012 at San Bernardino County Hall of Records

Preparing for AOS

Better for her and her daughter to have additional paperwork - then need something she does not have. Thanks for your input ! Interview 02/13/2012

Seems to me you got everything but you dont need DS-230 for K-1! Good Luck!

I do not have a hard copy yet of her MNL number, just the previous NOA2 form saying we were approved. NVC emailed me her MNL number.

You don't need the hard copy.

Hi, My fiancee is going for interview on 21st of feb...I have all the forms and paperwork needed...But I see you said to someone else that he may need a ds-230 form..Do my fiancee need that form too? Or is it because the person is applying for his fiance and her child..Thanks

No, the ds-230 is not part of the K-1 visa
