Currently my spouse and I are both students under 21. I worked a little bit over the Summer and we're in the process of completing the I-485. We would like more on our return so I was wondering for the sake of the I-485 package, do we have to file married jointly or can we still be claimed by our parents?

File your own taxes, your married. Its what married people and adults do.

Not to mention that it can be used as really good evidence for ROC.

File your own taxes, your married. Its what married people and adults do.

Not to mention that it can be used as really good evidence for ROC.

We haven't been married for even a year yet. April of last year. We really have no taxes. Would it be better to wait to file next year?
