Does anyone know if it possible to get I864 approved only with Assets?. My wife (USC) is living with me abroad (my home country) and she has not worked for 2 years, she only has a bank account that is sharp above the poverty guidelines (in this case has to be 3 times the amount required of incomes). BTW we dont have a co-sponsor.

Absolutely, it is not uncommon in cases where the USC lives abroad, but most embassies want assets to be US based, and be comfortably above the x3 guidelines.

We did it- transfered our savings to a US bank account, and bought our US home with some of it (having the house in the US also proved intention to re-establish domicile on behalf of the petitioner)..

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

well, don't forget the other bit of instructions IN the I-864 - which blathers on about being domiciled in the USA.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
