On Friday Feb 3 (Philippine time} my "Fiancée" went to the BPI bank and paid $350 for herself and $350 for her daughter for the visa application fee. She did get 8 digit receipt number.

Before I proceed - I do not have a copy of the appointment letter or a new Notice of Action with her new case number. NVC just sent the application to manila on 01/30/2012. At what point to I and/or her receive this appointment letter ??

Do we schedule the interview first and/or Physical. When I looked at the Physical page, it is requiring an Interview date.

I tried to go online to schedule her Interview - the 8 digit receipt number did not work.

I have read where some have used the MNL # to get there physical at St. Lukes. But give the embassy a little more time and you should be able to schedule the interview, then print that page out for St. Lukes. Don't need to wait for a letter from the embassy.

Oh for the receipt number use HER passport number see if that fixes the issue.

I know the MNL number, but never received any documents as of today with her new case number. Not sure what you mean by print out the St Lukes page ?

I am thinking I can send her and her daughter to manila and get her physical done and out of the way ? When she and her daughter shows up.. no appointment letter is needed ?

Congrats!

I was just approved on 1/26/12. How long did it take to get your MNL#? I am still waiting on mine! Did something get sent in the mail to you did you call? I am hoping to have her and the boys out of there by End of March if I lucky! I could use any information leading up to this like the medical exam or interview questions themselves.

Good Luck!

Call NVC to get your MNL#

For the NVC:

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, EVER. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

Vermont misplaced my approved application, so it took 55 days to get to the NVC... If you look at normal timelines.. seems like 10-15 days is the Norm...

Congrats!

Click here for to read about a St. Luke's medical experience, your fiancee might benefit from reading this as well.

That receipt number your fiancee got at the time she paid the visa fee at BPI should work, just keep trying it.

Your hard copy of the NOA2 should arrive shortly, did you get an email notice of the NOA2?

Also in the interest of saving time on the day of the medical, your fiancee can register here for the medical online at SLMCEC.

I just recieved the following email.

_______________________--

We received the electronic file from the State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) on July 27, 2012 and should receive the U.S. Immigration Service-approved visa petition (Form I-129F) shortly.

As soon as we receive the I-129F petition from NVC, the applicant will be notified to contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center to schedule the visa interview appointment.

According to what I read, the applicant may never get the snail mail from the embasy so it is better to call and set the interview.

Is this correct?

Did you get your MNL #? If not do this first part. If you you have your MNL # continue on down and head to BPI to pay your visa fee... THEN you can call or schedule your interview online.

For the NVC:

Check on your embassy case number:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.govwww.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov (I found NVC to be very quick responding to emails)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL # (don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other (maybe, they might mail the interview letter) for the embassy.

In order to serve our visa applicants more efficiently, we have created this new e-mail address: IVMNLAppointments@state.gov , for early appointment requests and visa scheduling issues. St. Luke's:

http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy (or if the embassy mails a confirmation letter bring a copy of that), and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

PREREGISTER at St. Luke's website, it saves time when you arrive. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend. There are been changed with CFO so for sure read through their website.

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348:fiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals&catid=140

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

The personal manifestation shall be recorded in both applications for marriage license, and the affidavit, if one is executed instead, shall be attached to said applications. (61a)
