Hi everyone,

We're doing our 110th check of the I-130 packet before sending it out tomorrow. I'm putting my US address on the I-130. My physical residence is outside the US and I have listed that where my husband and I live together as well as on my G-325A. Does this sound correct?

Also, on our passport photos, we used ballpoint pen, do we need to redo in pencil?

We have a letter from our employer explaining that we have no lease but have been living together for more than a year and also 2 affidavit from friends- do we send copies or originals of those?

I think we have everything else covered and once I read the directions for the millionth time it wasn't so complicated. I can't wait to get this out of the house!

Thanks all for your help!

Talia

Pen is fine, put in plastic bag and we put our names on the attachment sheet to ID. Good copies are OK, bring the original to the interview. My affidavit people sent two copies. Mail it. I do not think the affidavit is that important, but your other evidence is. Gary and Alla did a posting on this.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

OMG I THINK I MADE A MISTAKE ON MINES THEN. I put my u.s adress on my g-325a but stated on my cover letter that I was residing abroad along with evidence.

But your fine with the passport photos, just place them in a small plastic bag so they won't smudge. and I would send the original affidavit's but made 3 extra copies for myself..but the rest you can send copies. Good luck

My affidavits were the originals but I have made two copies of these. This (I-130) is the petition in which they approve you to apply for the nonimmigrant visa. At the consulate, I would take additional different affidavits if you feel like it. This can only strengthen your case. Are you making copies of everything? Having copies, one just in case and for your own reference is always good, especially when we get to the NVC stage.

The photos seems fine, attach the coresponding photos to the G-325A. This is what we did and I used pen on mine just because pencil wasnt all that clear and it pressed through onto the photo, something I read on the form told you to avoid this.

If you have included additional tid-bits such as flight stubs, pictures etc make sure you have a nice cover letter telling them what each of the things are in your petition so they can access information easily. I know some people dont do this but I think its a personal preference. This package doesnt need to be too hefty in size, you can bring a lot to the visa interview if you wish to such as photos etc.

I hope this has helped. :star: Good luck with your application and welcome to the wait!

I love my husband!!
