Received the below email this morning. In all my years here, this has never happened. How did this person get my email address from Visa Journey? My apologies if this has been asked and answered before.

there's a link in yer profile [click here to email]

They not know yer email address, that sender - but once the link is clicked, one can send you email from the vj portal.

if'n you not wish email - hey - edit yer profile, remove the email address, soonish.

fwiw - [bintin ] is the name of the VJ member - you can look up their profile here, as well.

I have flagged the account as a spammer. We have been getting spammers joining VJ and using either the PM function or the email function to spam our members. That is why we encourage members not to post their email addresses or to allow the email link to be active. If a legitimate member wishes to get in touch with another member, they can use the PM function and then safely exchange personal email addresses.

Do as Darnell suggests - edit your personal profile and delete the email address so you won't be susceptible to this type of spamming.

yeah, they don't have your email address but they can link to it. You could also add the email address they sent the email to you from to your 'blocked' list on your email account to make sure they can't repeat it (although I doubt they would).
