NBI Clearance

My fiancee has lived in Pasay, Paranaque and Bacolod since age 16. She is currently living in Paranaque and I know that the US Embassy requires the NBI. How many NBIs does she need? She has the ones from Pasay and Paranaque, is it really necessary to fly to Bacolod to get the one from there?

As far as I know, the US Embassy need only one valid NBI Clearance. better check the validity of those clearance she have right now. As for me I just got my NBI clearance last month.

She just got them within the last two days. She thought she had to get an NBI per city she lived in since 16. I think i found that you only need to supply multiple NBI if and only if you have lived in additional countries since 16.

Your fiancee only needs one (1) NBI Clearance, not one per each city she has lived in within the Philippines.

I think she might have that confused with getting a police clearance from each country one has lived in since age 16.

I thought we needed one from every place she lived in the Philippines as well. So we can pick one up in any city in the Philippines, even if she hasn't lived there?

NBI covers the whole country. It's like the FBI. Is she getting the NBI or a Barangay clearance?

My fiancee insists on getting NBI clearance from every place that she has lived in the Philippines. She is saying that her friend just went to the interview and delayed the visa because she didn't have multiple NBIs.

If I am not mistaken, you only need a NBI per country visited longer than a year since the age of 16. Anyone that has just been through a recent interview, can you please shine some light on this subject?

I really appreciate this... for some reason I am not good enough to listen to. Maybe you have been in multiple relationship in the past but it seems that the females will never listen to the guy, they will always listen to their friends regardless if they are wrong or not... irritates me.

Get use to that one!!! It takes time and alot of patience and talking. When the subject of the palm reader and the spirits come up it usually takes a lot longer of a talk and patience on my part. I just have to remember her upbringing and all cultures are different..

Tell your 'sweetie' to relax and not to complicate this process anymore than necessary.

Tahoma and others (including me) have given you the 'scoop' about the NBI Clearance issue.

If she has not lived in any other country more than 6 months since age 16, you have Zero

need for any other police clearances.
