EAD biometrics ???

Aloha,

I got my biometric appointment tomorrow for my EAD, yeaye !!

But what is gonna happen there ??? Fingerprints and that's it ??? I

Can someone please give me more details about a biometric appointment ?

Id someone has an aswer how long will the wait be before receiving my work authorisation card ??

it's pretty easy really ( for a change, lol) you just go there with your appointment letter and ID (if you changed your last name then marriage certificate aswell). you'll go through security, then you'll have to fill out a form just asking for some pretty basic info eg. name, birth date, height weight, stuff like that. When you get called up for your appointment they'll just do your fingerprints and your photo then you're done

That sucks :/ I suppose Travis and i are lucky then, we had to spend most of the day on public transport but if we drove it would of only taken us half an hour or so to get there, lol

If you look at it that way it may seem like a waste of time; however, that's not all that happens. You will also be fingerprinted so that FBI can work behind the scene checking if prospective residents have any criminal history, fraudulent charges, or possibly terrorist threat to the US. What they take from us is used to create a bigger picture. It's like getting your blood-work done. A little bit of blood is drawn, but many tests done from it.

Make that 5 hrs an adventure. When you get that GC, it will ID you as the resident you are striving to be. There's purpose in all of this. All the best at your biometrics. It's one step closer to your GC.
