You just need a photocopy of the original and the original with you. They'll give you original back so no need to get another original copy!

That's a different topic than this thread. There are several threads in the UK forum you could have a look for.

Hi all! I'm getting excited because Rob just sent in his DS-2001 and Packet 3 as we now have everything we need for the interview. It arrived in London yesterday, same day his medical results should have arrived. How long should I wait before calling the DOS to see if an interview date has been assigned? I was thinking about calling next week, but wasn't sure if I was getting a little overexcited. I know London probably takes some time to process everything. Thoughts?

It's been 4 week since Packet 3 sent, and 3 weeks since the Medical, and still no interview date. Does anyone have an estimate when this might happen as my fiance needs to make hotel and flight arrangements for the interview. We're starting to get anxious yet when I called on Monday, still no interview date.

Mark is concerned because he never received a letter for packet 3, and that it was sent supposedly on August 5, so we're keeping a close eye to make sure that we know when the interview is in case the letter is delayed.

Have you sent the interview readiness form?

If yes I would call DOS.

We're in a nearly identical situation. Since it's been 4 weeks, you can call the embassy and ask them for an e-mail code. Once you e-mail the embassy with this code, someone will look into your situation. My fiance did this a few days ago and got an automated reply that he would receive word in 3-4 business days. They were closed the past 2 Mondays for holidays, so I think this is what's put them behind. I've been calling the Department of State daily this week, as they sometimes have more up-to-date information than the Embassy.
