Hi everyone! So we're going to post a full review of the interview process in the embassy portal, but I just wanted to post here about my guy's interview experience. There were a few things we didn't expect, actually and a lot more questions than we thought there would be, so I wanted to post here for people who have their interviews coming up soon :)

The biggest and most unexpected thing is that the interviewer asked my guy for pictures of us. Luckily, we came prepared with a binder of itineraries from all the times we've met and had about 15 or so pictures of us (2 from each visit). The interviewer then spent time actually looking at the pictures, asking him to point me out in the pictures, where we were, who other people were in some of the pictures, etc. This was obviously no problem to explain, but definitely unexpected considering all the other reviews of people saying that they don't ask for evidence of that sort of thing.

The other thing was... they forgot to fingerprint him! So, he takes the tube back home, had just sat down and his phone goes off - it was the embassy, saying that he needed to come back! I'm glad that they caught it right away at least and he was able to just hop back on the tube since he's local. The embassy staff was really apologetic about it too. When he came back later in the day, he said it was crazy, there were about 200 seats and ALL of them were taken, people were sleeping, etc. So, definitely get to the embassy as early as possible!

Other than that, here's the review: he got there super early, about 10 people in line, was the first "I" number of maybe about 7. When he first went up, he got the Chinese woman a bunch of people posted about in the reviews. He said she wasn't mean or impolite or anything like that, she just talks very fast and very quietly so he did a lot of smiling and nodding and just gave her his paperwork. After about 45 minutes, he got called up to another window with a youngish American woman with brown hair and glasses who was very nice. She asked a lot of questions:

- How did we meet

- Do you have any pictures of the two of you together

- Where does petitioner live, is it owned or rented

- Does petitioner have any siblings, what are their names

- Do you get along with siblings

- Where does petitioner's parents live

- What are petitioner's parents names

- How much money does petitioner earn

- What website we met on

- Why were you and petitioner on that particular website

- What does beneficiary's family think of this whole thing

- Are we going to have a celebration?

- Are beneficiary's family coming to America to visit? To the wedding?

After about typing for about 5 minutes, she said he was approved, he signed the all the forms and left.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming interviews and make sure to bring pictures!!! :)

Congrats. When is your fiance moving?

When my guy told me about the photos, I was seriously thinking "NO WAY!!!" It definitely wasn't a request for a ridiculous amount of skype logs, etc. like you see from other countries. But, the fact that the photos were one of the first questions the interviewer asked about, it was so surprising.

We actually put together the photos and "relationship evidence" folder at the last minute just to have peace of mind and I'm really glad we did. I don't think it's something to stress about because we definitely had no more than 15 photos, but I'd say if you have 10 printed showing different times, places, maybe other people in the photos too, it'll help for sure.

But for the record, our evidence was flight itineraries (not boarding passes), and the photos. We didn't print out any email screen shots or skype logs.

... And he's moving SOON! His passport should be back within 7-10 days and he'll probably book his flight for a week or two after he gets the passport back. We're both so excited!!! :)

Now why would I be pissed? We share info here and this is the first ever that I've read of asking for photos. Maybe a new lady has come on board and is doing her "thing" the way she wants to. It's a great heads up of possible changes in London. That's the only way we can keep up is by people sharing their experiences. And the rest of you lot can report if you get asked for photos and all those extra questions.

(Okay, I'll admit I get slightly pissed at Robert when he keeps asking questions that have been answered to him before. Or he jumps to post before using his brain to think about it. Example, the Knightsbridge number doesn't work for R. Help VJ!! Why not wait and try it again a little later before sounding the panic alarm in two threads? Excuses of not knowing how to use a computer are lame. I'm old enough to be your granny and had never posted in a forum in my life, but managed to learn. Hahahahaha...Silver Surfer crazy cat lady Mama Nich.)

Wow I guess American really don't understand sarcasam!

I tried the number 5-6 times and when I got through the lady mentioned that they had a fault.....Nice butt kissing from LCL also.

I don't have to kiss anyone's ####, especially when one is speaking the truth. If you spent more time reading and internally processing the information, you'd see why Nich-Nick's post was quickly +1'd.

Nice. How does it feel to know that your fiance is going to be landing in 3 weeks and your excitement won't be countered by the thought of him going home a week later! whats your plan for the first night together?

Ok. Another question for the experts on here.

Putting together my additional sheet for DS-156 Question 29. Have you ever visited the U.S.

I have a trip planned for August 18th. I will be sending my first set of DS forms (packet 3) on Saturday but won't schedule my interview until after my trip.

Should I mention the trip on the additional sheet? At the moment I have put...

Please note I have an 8 Day visit to Las Vegas, NV U.S.A. planned for August 18th 2012.

BEFORE I GET SHOUTED AT I JUST REALISED I HAD ALREADY ASKED THIS QUESTION....SORRY. ITS BEEN A BUSY DAY. (i write things down in my phone to ask later)
