Yes thank you but we just realized this :/ The form he needed just extra stuff but still Okay I will look into both thank you! This sentence doesn't click to me and you rephrase it please?

You can check the guaranteed delivery date and then remind the USPS staff that if they out in the from zip code and to post code, it will come up with a date. I mailed by 5:30 on a Friday and it got there on Tuesday.

Do you know if the website embassy website is up and running again with making the visa payment I know some people were having issues paying online?

I can't help but point out that when he sent in the DS-2001 form, that was suppose to indicate that he had ALL the documentation he needed for the interview!

However, I have mailed stuff to the UK two ways.

USPS

Priority Mail Express International - 3 to 5 days. They may say that it is not guaranteed but if you go through here:

http://ircalc.usps.com/?country=10150

You can check the guaranteed delivery date and then remind the USPS staff that if they out in the from zip code and to post code, it will come up with a date. I mailed by 5:30 on a Friday and it got there on Tuesday.

Costs $44.95 if you use one of their envelopes.

UPS

Around $65. Mailed at 3:30pm on a Thursday. Got there at 9am on the Monday.

The only link I put in my post was this one:

http://ircalc.usps.com/?country=10150

If that's not working for you, then try this one:

http://postcalc.usps.com/

And select UK.

Actually, If this was me, I would post the document (assuming it's not expensive and you have more than one copy) by normal mail to the UK first as your interview isn't until 18 October. That usually takes 5 to 7 days for me. If it's not arrived within a week, I would then mail a further copy by an expedited method. That could save you some money. It really depends on the document you need to send.

I rather send them fast it's okay about the cost I was expecting an amount like that anyway; but I was talking about the link to pay the visa fee online not the usps link jeje :);) I was asking if you had any idea on that.

Thank you :) and God Bless

Ah! Sorry! I'm already in the US, so paid my visa fee about 4 months ago using the old system, so I'm afraid I can't help you with that.

Ahh I see. That's the link and quote I gave to anne2012 in my earlier post, didn't realise it had only recently been changed so nobody knew what I was talking about! If I was able to I would absolutely test out the DOB theory. I always feel a bit sorry for those who don't know about sites like this, I wouldn't like to try and navigate the system as it is without reading the experiences of others.

And I missed your post because I had started my giant copy/paste from email and then had a short interruption. So yes, they have only recently added info. This page is slightly different too http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas.html. But the K1 paragraph still has the link to online payment not typed correctly so it isn't a hyperlink. They are slowly getting their various changes explained better. They wouldn't be receiving so many phone calls and more contacts than they can handle if they had thought through their their website instructions better before they went live with new payment method, courier scheduling, and form changes.

Yeah, they've made it harder for both themselves and petitioners/beneficiaries. It all seems much more complicated than it actually is just because of lack of proper instructions. Big big shame because it just leads to panic and confusion.

The DOB method doesn't work. It stinks. I guess I'll call the NVC on monday. I wish they'd QUIT CHANGING THE PROCESS.. I can't wait to be done with this. We were the 2nd batch that went to Texas from Vermont and then the delay to NVC... and now a form that won't work.

1/31/13 - 129F Sent
2/7/13 - NOA1
** transferred with 2nd group from VSC to TSC in late June
7/9/13 - NOA2 (5 months)
8/16/13 - Shipped from TSC
9/11/13 - Packet 3
9/19/13 - Forms sent in.
9/24/13 - Medical Done
9/27/13 - CEAC Status Update
10/02/13 - DS-260 mailed in
10/15/13 - CEAC Status Update (DoS couldn't say what triggered it, did say no interview assigned, but all docs are in)
10/23/13 - Embassy email states they do not have our documents. Poor Steven does 160 again.
10/23/13 - DoS says our case is still "processing" and not "qualified" (interview ready) and to do newest forms.
11/05/13 - CEAC Update. DoS says case is "eligible for interview" and we're waiting on next interview date.
11/08/13 - Another call to DoS (Chris is a nice guy!) and no interview scheduled yet.
11/12/13 - Another call to DoS and no interview scheduled yet.

When you get packet 3 it will tell you, however as you will receive it after 1 Sept then I would suggest you do the 260.

Has the embassy received your docs from NVC yet. I would be wary of sending stuff too early in case they dont know who you are and your forms get put in a pile of stuff from folk they do not know about yet.

I think the best thing is to let it run it's course, do what they tell you when they tell you, it will not go any quicker by trying to pre empt the process.

If you send in DS2001 you are saying you are ready and yet you are not going to send either DS260 OR DS230 pt1, that definately will not help.

Personally I would use UPS. I used them to mail my packet 3 forms from the US.

USPS mislaid my EAD for 5 days even though USCIS mailed it by Priority Mail. Although, to give them credit, they did manage to find it when I called them and sent it on.

I have no experience of FedEx.

Thank you so much for you good wishes. God Bless. I trust God. :)

I need to start reading up again on embassy reviews to make sure my Fiance has everything down packed and knows his way around there and what he should and shouldn't take. I think I read somewhere in a review that they have lockers in a store across the street so he can leave his personal items... not sure.

But Gracias.
