Thanks! He took anything and everything..we always believed its always safe to have too much info than not enough..even though the only things they asked for was sponsor paper work(the I-134 Affidavit of Support and letter from my moms employer since she is his sponsor), his police certificate, birth certificate and my letter of intent, MRV receipt, appointment letter, and of course passport, and 2 passport size photos..This is from memory of what he told me of course but I'll put up a review soon, just waiting on him to type it :P

Congratulations. Isn't it fun, trying to sleep while waiting on the news?

I don't know how I'm still awake and its 9:22pm, I been up since 3am lol Even after hearing the news I was so excited I couldn't even imagine sleeping :P

I've bolded the important part. He got his interview letter on the 4th August, which is before the 1st September. Therefore he doesn't need to fill out DS-260. That said, it's when you got your Packet 3 (the initial instructions) that matters. So still safe and no DS-260 required in this case.

Thanks for clearing this up we sent out packet 3 in august and there were no instructions about DS-260. I was freaking out for a min... lol

I actually filled DS 260 because when I called dos to confirm they said fill it in anyway even though I explained that the letter London sent didn't give instructions for me to do so.

Don't worry am sure it's ok. I also called dos again yesterday I was told they were just waiting on interview date for me. It's a busy time of the year. Again I double checked all forms were received and ok and the guy said it's all fine.

I just called DOS and the guy I spoke to was more informative and clear then the previous mean lady. He stated that the first notation on Sept 9th was that they had not rcvd packet 3 and only DS-2001. According to the Embassy it was not registered yet. Then he went on to say that further notations later on that same day Sept 9th they had rcvd all forms. He stated from what I see your just now waiting for an interview date...! Hope it's true. I emailed the Embassy directly and I hope to confirm this. They are pretty good at answering back to me.

This is the information I was also given. With the addition of its a busy time of year so it may not be till next month before interview. So I just decided to not stress no more since they have verified everything I sent was received.

Can you give me email address you use to get them since London phone line have no clue. When you call they aren't too helpful.

Can you give me email address you use to get them since London phone line have no clue. When you call they aren't too helpful.

I email them through the website on the contact us section they have a place to email. It has to be a chain email so they will answer you so you have to do it through the website first.
