Hi!I sent all my forms together over four weeks ago(five weeks on Thursday).they still haven't been logged.I received two replies from the embassy today.one asking what date did I submit my forms and then once I replied ,I received a second email stating be assured once your forms are registered you will be scheduled a interview date.they also said that they understood that I plan to marry in November 2013.I didn't mention this in the e-mail only in my forms.

So for two reasons I believe they know they have my forms and they just taking their time to log them 1.they didn't suggest me sending them again incase they had got lost . And 2.they knew my wedding date

To answer your question ,whatever you say to the embassy unless it's gone past the four weeks they won't do anything.but I'm sure your forms are not lost if they were signed for.

Just being curious did u state a planned wedding date at all?

Good Evening Everyone,

My Fiance mailed out packet 3 on 08/21/2013 and was sign by the embassy 08/23/2013 as being rcvd. We mailed out DS-2001 and it was rcvd on 09/05/13 after obviously packet 3.

When I asked the embassy they stated:

Visa records show that the required form DS-2001 has been received in your case. However, the Immigrant Visa Unit is awaiting receipt of forms DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157 and DS-230 (part 1). As soon as these required forms have been received, an interview will be scheduled for your Fiancé.

Then I replied: Telling them my concern thinking they were lost giving them the tracking number the date and time they were signed for and name of the person asking them to advise me then of the status.

They replied: It can take approximately 4 weeks for forms to be received and registered on an applicant’s file. As it has been less than 4 weeks since you mailed the forms, we recommend that you continue to wait for an appointment to be scheduled.

Does this mean that they do have the forms and they are not lost b/c I explained my concern to them does it take packet 3 to be registered in the system longer than DS-2001 and has everyone waited that aprox; 4 weeks? I just want to make sure they have them at hand and not floating around elsewhere.

Has anyone here had DS-2001 rcvd first rather than packet 3?

I just want to confirm that this is normal and it can take an average of 4 weeks for them to do all this and update our case to be ready for interview.

Thanks VJ's

Can someone please help me ...

I'm having difficulty paying the $240 fee... I follow the instructions on the website but it only lets me pay for the courier... I'm getting worried now :(

Are you in the immigrant section as opposed t the non immigrant part?

I had to select courier location, as in one of their depots, then pay the $240 fee then pay for the courier but only if I selected home delivery. If you are paying the courier fee before you must be doing something wrong. The courier fee is part of the $240 and then another $30 if you want home delivery.

I'm having difficulty paying the $240 fee... I follow the instructions on the website but it only lets me pay for the courier... I'm getting worried now :(

THE INSTRUCTIONS

The fee is paid by following these simple steps:

1. Visit http://dld.bz/ivbook and select Apply for a K Visa

2. Sign up for a user account

3. Select Add Applicant to provide information about yourself. Repeat this step for each person who will apply for a K visa with you.

4. Choose where you want your documents to be sent if your application is successful. Delivery to a regional center in the UK will not incur additional costs.

5. Pay the MRV fee of $240.00. Payment must be made by MasterCard or Visa debit card. Once you have paid the fee, you can request home delivery from the courier for a fee of $30 per applicant. If you wish to select home delivery, you can do so by returning to your profile once you have paid the fee. Please note that you can only select Home Delivery up until the day before your interview.

6. Confirm your facility (select U.S. Embassy London).

7. Please DO NOT submit any documents ahead of your interview. You should present all documents at the time of your appointment.

According to that, choosing home delivery is after paying MRV. Were those the instructions you followed? And it didn't work?

Yes thank you I concluded if they were lost they would have not been signed for or they would have informed me to resend them. I did on the cover letter but from the looks of it we might have to reschedule a date but as long as we get an interview that is the main priority.

Thank you for replying I don't feel so worried and paranoid now... ;)

Like you I mailed DS forms and along with them I also put the 2001 in the package and got it tracked. I had not received packet 3 at the time but I mailed them anyway. It was received on the 3rd sept logged in on the 4 th then I called dos to double check and was told they had not sent packet 3 to me but they see on the system that they received packet 3 from me. Anyway I was told would get a letter soon. Two days later got packet 3 letter in the post dated the 4th the day I had called to enquire. So again to be on the safe side I called them today to check what the first person told me was accurate. I got a guy on the phone this time and he said we received your packet 3 forms and things are a little slow right now but a letter will be coming to you soon for interview date.if you have not received anything in 3 weeks call back.

I

They should be able to check on the system if your forms were received he saw mine on the system so he was able to tell me what they had received from me. Perhaps it has not yet been logged in. Keep calling to check.

I will try DOS today their number changed and I couldn't get through the new number yesterday. The same operator record came up stating to call the new number but it didn't give me an option to speak to anyone.

Thank you so much I will try.
