Is stressing going to change anything? Will it undo your trip to Egypt? Will it erase the visa that is required to go there? Is Cairo not a common tourist destination?

Good advice (as ever). Stress about the things you can change and influence and forget the ones that you can't. There is enough stress in this process as there is.

I am a little confused about the I-134 form. I have filled out my I-134 form and my Mom is filling one out as well to be our co-sponsor. Her question is this. She is only listing partial household income (hers) but listing all the household assets and debts like the mortgage. Is that okay? Should she list the whole household income (hers and my dad's) or does my dad need to fill out a form too?

If Mom makes enough to sponsor with her income, then her form plus something that shows her separate income because a joint tax return lumps it all together. So before other scenarios, is Mom's own income enough? And can she get an employer letter, w2, or pay stubs to show it?

Oh wow those are two very different jobs and two very unique jobs. I don't think I'd be any good at either of them lol. You are sure going to have some smart kids though with diverse talents!

Steve works as a finance analyst for a German chemical company ( still not really sure what that means he does exactly lol) he makes a lot of spreadsheets when we are discussing our finances or budgets so I have a feeling he must make a lot of those during the day . He just accepted a promotion in MI actually so we'll be both starting a new life together somewhere new for both of us!!

I work for an airline managing frequent flyer accounts, or should I say i DID work for an airline. I handed in my notice last week I'll be leaving first week of September biggrin.png it definitely came in useful with the flying perks but I dont think I'm.going to miss the industry much lol

I missed this post somehow! aww thanks smile.png oh it's nice having a financial analyst in the family!! that's awesome! must have felt really good handing in that notice!! I would have loved those perks but I know what you mean - are you planning on looking for a different industry when you get here? smile.png

ETA - pretty invitations - I love purple. :)

Approved! biggrin.png

The interview really is so easy. Will write up a review when I get home.

ooh I missed a lot in a few days - got your appt and already approved - - dancin5hr.gif so excited for you LC. smile.png

You can apply for AOS any time. No rules in the law, but sooner is always better. You only have to take a new medical exam if you don't apply within 12 months of the Knightsbridge exam date.

Here's an idea--why don't you use this time for filling out your AOS forms to take your mind off fretting. I think you have done all you can. You did confirm with DOS that your forms, medical and readiness form are received and asked if you are shown as interview ready???

Here's my AOS list of things to prepare.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FIsgnb7Tfj7tcRNnqRMKUOXQdEfR6HTUDY2vX6zKqqU/mobilebasic?authkey=CNXN_oQH

ooh thanks for the list nich-nick. :) I need to start reading up on this stuff..I told the fiance he needs to do a lot of the reading this time since I will be consumed with wedding stuff. :D

Speaking as someone who woke up on Friday morning at 03:40am having had a nightmare about my house sale I certainly understand stress.

I just don't stress over things I can't change and yes I know it's easier said than done but where's the logic in worrying about something you can't changes when there's plenty of other worry options available secret7vf.gif <---- probably not relevant smiley

Anner--

Mom doesn't have to list assets if she has income. Leave it all blank. Assets are only if you need to make up for a shortfall in income. You don't even have to do an I-134 because they will use Mom as the sponsor.

Okay. I thought I had to be the main sponsor. I probably make enough, but since Mom will be providing housing initially I wanted her to fill one out too. Thanks Nich-Nick.

Here's someone with a joint sponsor. Read her comment about the I-134. It's in this same thread, p. 29 http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/?p=5567415

And read her London interview review here in her timeline and what she says about the I-134 http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=120177

When you do the I-864 affidavit of support for AOS, it is very strict about you being the main sponsor and tax returns are required. For a fiancé visa there are no rules in the actual law (Foreign Affairs Manual). London as a consulate seems to be fine with any sponsor, including the beneficiary self-sponsoring, and accepting any good proof of income that convinces them the beneficiary won't become a public charge.

It is advised that one uses a black color ink on legal documents so I would assume black :) Trust me they can tell the difference of a copy or not

SIGNATURE BLUE OR BLACK PEN? BLUE IS BETTER B/C IT CAN BE DISTINGUISHED AND NOT CONFUSED WITH A PHOTOCOPY... ?
