On one of the questions it asks 'Have you ever had a stroke, seizures or other neurological disorder?' When I was in uni I had the mumps, after the mumps were gone I went home for Easter and one day when I was in the bathroom; all of a sudden I fainted. The only thing I remember was my hand started shaking and I fell to the floor. I had did test etc but they didn't have any clue what was wrong and all results came out positive. I'm not 100% if it was a seizure. My fiance doesn't think I should tick yes to this question cause I'm unsure and if I tick yes, it would build up more questions and exams :(. Not sure what to do.

I agree with your fiance. I would tick "No". It sounds like you fainted. Fainting and a seizure is different. It's like my GP said to me at the start of the year when he checked my heart because my dad had a heart attack, and I mentioned about my medical -

"Do NOT put anything about heart problems, it would be opening a Pandora's Box. You're fine - no medical diagnosis has been made. Only report what we (medical professional) have diagnosed; not what you THINK you might have/have had".

Quick question! Just want to clarify... on the DS230 it asks about a spouse, that's for if I'm currently married, right? So as I'm applying for a fiance visa and currently have no spouse, I just write N/A?

And another quick question - for these kind of forms where you type in the answers onto the PDF and print them, should I write my answers in capitals? (That's kind of a silly question and it probably doesn't matter but I've done a form like this before and it had to be all capitals but this one doesn't say whether to or not)

Yes, we put N/A for the spouse stuff like on the example forms. Also, I typed in capitals and printed them out from PDF form. Makes it a lot easier for the duplicate copies and because I'm going to take spares to the interview just in case.

Thanks QueenofBlades, you're so helpful!

It says "list all places you have lived" but doesn't actually ask for the street address. So does it just want the town, or should I also write my actual address?

Hi vg - on the sample DS230, it just had Rome, Italy, no street address. That form along with others are here in case you need them :)

I know the feeling, my car broke down coming back from London when I went for my medical! Luckily it wasn't on the way there. So I think I will take the train for my interview... Not risking it again :P

I followed the VJ example and pretty certain I just put like "Leicester, UK". It asks for your address in plenty of other places so I wouldn't worry about it.

Our interview time is actually timed extremely well, as we were going to London on the 30th anyway to go to a club event. This way, we're just staying over for a long weekend and I'll take him to see the sights and we won't have to make two trips to London.

My last CEAC update was Aug 8th and I called about that one. No update since so I'm assuming no interview date yet. :/

It's great you've got a date now, when is it? :)

We got an update today on the website (the last one was 6th Aug for my medical and DS stuff) so I urged my Fiance to call (I have a really tough time understanding DOS American accents and vice versa - think my British accent is too strong)

The lady he spoke to was super nice and said 'congrats, i have some exciting news, your interview is scheduled for 9th sept 8am!'

Hope you get yours soon too :)

The big lobby is all glass looking out toward where you went through security. There is a hallway going back toward another room where the interview windows are. The toilets are in the hallway between the two rooms.

Do you have a divorce decree or anything else you want back? if not, that should be all.
