Hi fellow vjers.

I hope I don't have to go into too much detail. But here is the summary. I got my naturalization in 2008. My 16 year old natural born son lives in Africa and I petitioned for him in August 2011. The California SC indicates that they process I-30s in 5 months. It was 5 months this January 29th. Does anyone know what I should expect going forward?

CSC is very behind....I am a July filer and still have heard nothing. I am well over six months now. They do seem to be moving along with K-1 applications especially but still many of us waiting.

california is behind as we all know...hopefully anytime soon , you should be getting your NOA 2 and they will forward your case to NVC. NVC will then enter your case and issue a case number. At the NVc statbe you will need to submit payments and documents which include;

Your Birth Certificate and Your son's bierth certificate ( showing your name on it asone of his parent)

your proof of naturalization.

Yor marriage Certificate

tax documents for the past three years

Your son's police report since he already turned 16.

Your son's passport photograph

one or two other things

once this stage is complete, your file is then forwarded to your consulate where the interview ill take place

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
