Hello VJers,

I have my interview on 7th feb 2012. The problem is that my parents have sent us the I-864 forms, but the DOB of my dad in that form is printed incorrect. Now can anyone please advise me tht wt cud be the possibilities?

Wt if we give them other proofs of the correct DOB of my dad like passport copies n all n tell thm its just a typing mistake?? will thy be convinced???

It's not usually a material fact so it shouldn't be a basis for rejecting the form. The only exceptions I can envision are if the date, as written, implies he's not old enough to be a sponsor, or if he acquired citizenship by birth and the birth date doesn't match his birth certificate thereby casting doubt on his US citizenship status. If it doesn't raise an issue of eligibility then it shouldn't make the affidavit any less enforceable. I doubt it will be an issue.

humans are prone to error( especially when typing, I am guilty of that all the time) so I think it wont be an issue if you put a line across the date and print the correct date with ink

NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23
Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

Thank u so very much for your replies.

My dad has sent me the copy of I864 n has corrected the date wid ink and has signed the error as well. i hope everything goes well cuz my parents r too old and they wish their children to be with them now. Please pray!!!

Can you please let us know when your priority date is...!!!

My priority date is november 30th 2001, which is now current!!!

Congrats, happy to know that your interview went on well and wishing you all the very best in future. How was your interview and what all questions did they ask...........also when did they notify about the interview date !!
