Reached shuttle service around 7:30 . I recommend taking executive shuttle since it leaves on time rather than taking forever and waiting for passenger and leave when it's full . Charges rs 500. You need to provide passport at the booking.

Reached embassy and foolishly I was in non immigrant que ,had to change que and was let inside . Wasn't given any token # . Had to wait almost an hour for biometrics. Then after that went in "actual"interview hall . The security man took interview letter and asked to take a seat with many other. After 5 mins I was called by name , the Pakistani man behind the window asked for passport , and medical report . Asked my contact # and asked where i would like them to send passport . Then Gave me Amex courier sheet with sticker . Again asked me hve a seat and wait begins.

Non immigrants are called by token numbers and immigrants are called with names for interview. After 15 mins my name was called .

I went to window #4 , a African American lady was sitting with a Pakistani lady standing. I was asked to take oath and African American lady asked

1- who is calling you in America ?

I replied my husband . She asked If I can understand what she says ,I said yes and she asked translator to leave.

Now questions I was asked are as below

2- is this marriage arranged ?

3-who arranged this marriage ?

4-did your parents anyone for this marriage ?

5-tell me about your first meeting with husband ?

6-how long did he stay when he came for wedding ?

7- were you married before ?

8-was he married before ?

9-do you have kids?

10-do you have family in USA ?

11-how you like being married ?

12- tell me best thing about being married to him ?

13-does he send you money ?( my answer was no)

14-then how he takes care of you ?

15-what's your fathers name ?

16-do you have any pictures ?

17- pointed at a photo is this your husband ? ( answer: no he is my brother with my dad and uncle at wedding )

18- pointed at imam zamin me and hubby were wearing at nikah and asked what are you wearing on arms ? ( answer it's a religious thing ,to prevent couple from evil eyes )

Returned all documents after question # 16. She was continuously checking papers and writing something.

She looked at me and said "well you qualify for the visa.inshAllah you will get passport in 10-12 days "

I smiled and thanked her few time and I asked if I can leave now , she smiled back and nodded, I asked won't I be getting any of these colorful papers and she said no you are good. :)

I thanked Allah million times . I was back by 10:30 am.

I wasn't asked for another documents but be prepared since a lady interviewed before me was put on AP was asked for nikah Nama copy and she was interviewed for quite some time . During interview make sure to make eye contact and keep answers short . Be prepared for everything as woman interviewed before me was put on ap. and above all trust Allah . If you have any queries please leave a comment .

Thank you. :)

The question I found funny was the "What's the best thing about him?" Lol... I'd be stumped for a second, thinking of all the things I like about him. That question was unexpected... although I've heard they ask the strangest things.

Exactly and i wasn't prepared for this question , guess my answer was , "it's good to have someone like him to trust, someone I can rely on and someone who understands me " Lol I was babbling . And they also asked what does he do in USA ? Lol i forgot few questions .

Lol, okay... I'll try to go better prepared now. ;) Although I'm sure it's perfectly normal to forget stuff when you're sitting before the Consular officer!

Oh wow, that was fast Masha'Allah! :)

*sigh* Hoping that day comes really soon for me too... Insha'Allah. *dreamy*

By the way, are you staying in Islamabad? I mean... do you have to stay in the city to pick up the passport (you said Amex called you) or is it mailed to your home if you live in another city and have to return?

I live in south Punjab and had to drive 14 hours for the interview on 29, then came back on feb 1 again drove 14 hours and got the call next day to pick up passport from a city which is 5 hours away :D lol

Hahah .

Actually there are few cities from where yOu can pick passport. They ask for contact number and which city you will like then to send passport if your city doesnt have their offie at the time of interview .
