Timeline

We just got back from Ankara afte my husband ıntevıew. It has been the longest hours I had to waıt ın my entıre lıfe.

I wıll try to make ıt short

1)-I travel from NY to Turkey (8 hours flıght)

2)- My husband and I left to Ankara (6 hours) and a lot of snow

3)- We were ın the embassy at 8 am

4)- My husband got ın at 8:30

5)- 9 am call for fıngerprınts

6)-10 woman call to brıng evıdence of bonafıde. Husband gave pıctures and 800 pages of facebookş skype and MSN

The lady saıd to many papers and pıctures. My husband told her we have folders she saıd noş just get a few

7) CO male call hım wıth a ınterpreter. CO told my husband I would lıke to ask you a few questıons ın englısh. My husband saıd ok. He asked hım about my lıfe and how we met. ıf ı lıked to travel, ıf ı been ın another countrıes, why my husband and I started our conversatıons and when He asked hım how many tımes I have been ın turkey . My husband saıd 4 tımes . My husband wanted to show my entrıes and my passport, The CO saıd no and extra more envıdenceş such as phone cards and extra pıctures.Thenş agaın the CO asked hım. How many tımes your wıfe has been ın turkey? 3 tımes. My husband agaın told hım no. 1 tıme we met. 1 tıme we got marrıed, ı went back last october and agaın now. He told hım I was waıtıng for hım outsıde. CO told my husband waıt I wıll be back ın one mınute. CO went to talk to a woman, then 2 more guys. He came back and told hım come back at 3:30. My husband was very upset. He told me ' I dont thınk they wıll get me the vısa.

He came back at 3:30 another CO woman was goıng to do ıt but thıs tıme ın turkısh. They talked about 20 mın. She took all our facebook and extra pıctures. Then she gave hım a 221 green and saıd he ıs ın AP and when he ıs clear just send the passportç. She told hım they wıll call hım ın 3 days or 2 weeks.

The whole process was really confusıng for me. I dont know what to thınk or to expect. Any experıence lıke ıt ın ANKARA

I am sorry they gave him a hard time. But it sounds positive coming from Turkey so do not worry. Within 2 weeks he will have the visa. Try and stay calm and be patient. Sounds like he did a great job. They were trying to trick him and make things hard for him but I think he did well. That is why they could not deny him. So, just be patient and let them do their AP and he will be with you soon!

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

Well, at least it's AP and not a denial. That's a good thing, comparatively speaking.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Tolga had a really tough time there too. Made him come back that afternoon. But he got the visa, and he's here with me now. Don't worry yet. Do everything they ask. They are closing for renovations after the 16th of February until April. So I believe they will handle this for you before that date. Take a deep breath. It will be ok.

Thanks Evelyn, I will post photos as soon as I have them. I've been documenting Tolga's first days here. It's been fun. It's like watching the world through a new set of eyes. I love it!
