This is my first time to post on this site, so I hope I'm doing it correctly. I'm in a total panic at this moment. My husband went for his first appointment this morning. He just called to tell me they denied him and gave him back his passport because they need proof of our marriage. They did not give him any kind of letter. I sent the reccomended items, pictures, etc., but the office would not allow him to give him the information. Please let me know if you have any idea of what I should do.

Are you a hundred percent sure he wasn't given any paper at all from them? Hope everything works out

Thank you. We have been trying to communicate over the phone, but we keep getting disconnect. Now he says the officer gave him a checklist, but the only thing checked is proof of marriage. When my husband told him he had it to give him, the officer said we have to mail it in.

glad it got resolved!

usually, the photocopy of the marriage certificate is sent in with the I-130 and the I-129F,

then the original is sent with the DS-230...

Go over what they told him and he told you guys and get as much proof as you can and send it to them.
