I just got my NOA 1 dated 2/13/12..now I can go to DMV to renew my driver's license! :dance:

Feb. 13, 2012 - NOA 1 date

Feb. 18, 2012 - Received NOA 1

July 18, 2012 - ROC APPROVED!

As today USCIS Processing Time Information for our Vermont Service Center for I-751 it says August 22 2011 That means last month we move a WHOLE 21 days. way to go USCIS

My husband and I just overnight mailed our I-751 petition in on Friday (2/17). Our deadline was February 18th. I had tried to get things around in November so that we weren't caught off-guard when our deadline actually came but, with a full schedule and new baby in the mix, February crept up faster than I thought it would and I was definitely not prepared at all.

I ended up mailing our petition without affidavits. I had typed them up and was waiting to get them signed by various friends and family members, but the week flew by and Friday was already here, so I decided to just go ahead and submit the petition without them. I figure we'll get an RFE for that, but it's better than him losing status because I waited even longer to send the petition in the first place. As it is, the processing center probably won't get the petition until Tuesday anyway because post offices closed at noon yesterday and, of course, Monday is a holiday, but that's the chance you take I guess. What I DID submit was the petition, statements signed by my husband and I both about our relationship as well as affidavits that neither of us have a criminal history, copy of marriage cert., copy of baby's birth cert., a handful of pictures taken over the course of the last two years, partial copies of our joint tax returns for the last two years, and a blank deposit slip for our joint bank account. Our bank just recently changed the way they mail our statements in January so our most recent statements only have my name on them. Unfortunately, I didn't catch that until last week . I felt like our petition was a little bit small, but that seemed to bode well for us when we submitted our last set of papers, so maybe we'll get lucky. It will be a huge relief when we're finally done with immigration and we can get on with our lives.

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

I didn't bother sending much. I put in the baby's birth certificate, a copy of the contract to buy the house we're closing on next week, some joint bank statements, and some utility bills with both of our names on it. I figure they already have all of the pictures and whatever I sent in with the original application and this will just be additional proof that our relationship is as legit as ever. If that's not enough we'd be happy to meet with them anytime for an interview. In fact, I kind of want to so I can show off the baby. :D

This is my personal opinion and has not legal or real true to the facts.. But affidavits are suggested documents.. I personally did not sent any affidavits. either i provided bank statements because, like other individuals, I closed the joint account a couple of months prior.. However, the evidence we provided such as life insurance, birth certificate, insurance policies, income taxes do provide some evidence..

I have heard of cases approved without affidavits or other documents.. every case is different and is up to the case officer to make a decision.. the possible inconvenience that could happen is RFE or interview.. and for that, my wife and I are ready...

I didn't bother sending much. Received Bio letter today, dated 2/17 with an appointment date of 3/8. Came early enough that I tried to take care of it today but was refused entry by a not-so-nice guard at the Phoenix ASC.

Oh well, no use in doing it early as it will take forever to process it. :)
