I-751 February 2012 Filers

I posted this on another thread. My wife is also a February 2012 filer to Vermont. She's done biometrics in mid-March but that was the last we've heard from USICS. I am unfamiliar with the interview process, but is this one of the last steps? Should we have been interviewed by now?

You can never tell. But as i said in my previous reply, we are just today started seeing people being approved (Feruary 2012).. I am in the same boat as you, even though my application was submitted in the beginning of Feb 2012. My local office is the same as yours. So let keep hoping that we are going to hear something soon! Did they give a reason why they asked for an interview with you and your wife? I would think that it is their right to check phone records if they suspect something. What kind of papers did they ask you to bring in? I only ask this in case it should happen to someone else, considering we are waiting for my husband's 10 year gc too.

no reason but there was many couple over there for the same no reason but i guess because we change the address like 3 times

and they ask us to bring all original papers

and at the interview he was very nice and asked me for some documents and i told him i can mail to you later if that possible and he said it's ok

RFE received 10/22

"You submitted affidavits, identity documents, a one page income tax return, a one page bank statement, a residential lease addendum, a copy of your health insurance card, a copy of your credit cards, travel documents and photographs. The one page income tax return is missing the signature page and only represents one year of your marriage. The one page bank statement is missing the activity pages and only represents one month of your marriage. The evidence submitted does not establish, in sufficient detail, joint ownership of your assets, joint responsibility for liabilities, and an active commingling of finances for the duration of your marriage. Supporting documentation must cover as much of the marital period as possible, and must also indicate joint financial responsibility and joint residency for that same time period."

Wow, and I thought I did such a great job with my packet! I guess I'll have to send the entire tax return and a whole bunch more bank statements. Not even sure what else I'd include on the financial front.

Well, on the bright side, looks like VSC is finally up to Feb 2011!

I checked the page yesterday and got "we ordered production of your new card"! Yay!

Quick update since my last post:

- RFE needed to be mailed before 10/15. We mailed it using overnight and arrived on 10/12.

- Did a lot of digging into all the stuff we have. Got a list of following items to send

All bank statements before account was closed

Costco membership statement

Coupons with our names

Life insurance with each other has beneficiaries (can't believe we didn't send this at the beginning)

All patient registration forms from our doctor's office with each other as emergency contacts

More affidavits from our co-workers

- Checked the page and see "On October 17, 2012, we ordered production of your new card" (for some reason, no SMS/email notification even though I set it up)

Thanks everyone for the advices. Good luck for those still waiting anxiously.

Hey! sorry about the RFE!

but I wanted to let you know that I went to the bank and asked them for a letter stating both of our names. The letter said something like "Mr. and Mrs. H. have had an active joined account with us since ... until todays date" and they happily accepted that. Maybe that helps a bit. I hope they sort it out quick!

Card production ordered guys! 10/22 is the decision date. I checked my USCIS.gov profile. Will update when i receive my card and approval letter.

Don't worry. As i said, my NOA date is February 1, 2012 so i must have been one of the very first applications. Yours i think was mid-February or late-February. I would give it 2-3 weeks at most to hear something from them. It is such a relief after so many months! Keep the faith guys! Soon!

Yes,we also had the letter from a bank.

Also,they always want to see 2 - 3 years of activity.Basically since you got your last green card,but some of them said since the wedding.

What I did is, I included bank statements for every 6 months.So 1 from spring and one from fall 2010,same for 2011 and one latest one from 2012.They want all the pages, not just the first or last.They want to see the complete bank statement. I did same with a utility bill (2 per year).We made sure we put it in both of our names couple years ago.

Tax return has to be for last 2 or 3 years as well - all pages.

Do you have a car loan or anything in both of your names.They need to see you own things together.
