Just received RFE today :huh:

I think most likely it is because me and my wife don't have any joint bank account/credit card. We made a very bad investment in a house right after we got married in 2009. We co-invested that property with a friend of her. But my name was never on the title (only my wife's name). Then things got really bad and her friend decided not to make his share of the payment, which eventually led to the foreclosure. We never had a chance to setup a joint back account since we were advised not to because the expected foreclosure will ruining my credit as well.

Can anyone give me some suggestion in terms of what process we are looking at to resolve this RFE?

what does the first sentence say?

I would say send anything that proves that you live together, that you are together.

For example some things we sent (everything in both our names): health insurance, car insurance, title of car, registration of car, the label of something we got a while back through paypal, season tickets to the amusement park in all our names , bill of vacation together,

do you have the chance to go to the bank so they can write a letter with what you are saying? like maybe that you and your spouse are known there but financially it isnt a good decision to have join bankaccounts or so?

I mean you were advised to do so!

I would write a letter explaining the situation and sign it with both your names and include as much documentation as possible to back everything up.

Add more pictures if you can and any other possible piece of evidence you can think of

2. Financial Records (bank statements, life/med/renter/homeowner insurance)

3. Residence (utility bills)

For #1, we don't have kids.

For #2, due to the reason stated previously, we don't have joint financial. We have our separate insurance provided by our employers. (We did submitted car insurance.)

For #3, we rent, which has utilities included in the rent.

So I'm gonna ask my real estate agent to write a letter for us, stating he knows us as a couple, as well as our property investment situation. He once suggested us to separate our financial liabilities due to the property. We used to have a joint bank account before buying the house. But we closed it because of his advice.

Also, I'm gonna have my landlord write a letter for us, stating he knows us as tenants for two years and we pay him rent with utility included.

Not sure much else we could provide. We did not travel much. So not a lot of things to provide for that.

We made a batch of wine for the anniverary, included pics for the bottling party and a stray label with both of us on it. It probably would have gone faster if we sent a bottle .

We got the 10 year card today , Joseph being the worry wart he is noted the place that has a finger print on the 2 year card has an "error" message that says finger print not available. Anyone else have this ? He thinks it is something wrong and will make the card invalid.
