I just was wondering if it is normal for the case to be in the acceptance stage for more than a couple of weeks. I read the explanation on the site, and it says th acceptance stage is typically completed within two business days, however mine has said that since January 19, is that common?

Thanks.

Here is a on line response I found (hope it fits you), https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do You will find USCIS up dates do not occur regularly for most people, be sure you have text and email update on file with USCIS. Your k1 might take about 6-7 months. Hang in There.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

It takes around two weeks before you get your noa1 from the date you submitted it then another month from noa1 for your biometrics schedule. Check the timelines of the other vj members thats on aos process so you can get a better idea of how long should it take. Goodluck!

I just sent in an application as well. My received date is January 23, 2012 and on USCIS's website it says The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received so unless ur case is "touched" it will remain at the acceptance stage. My case is still at the acceptance stage even though it has been 9 days. If you haven't already done so sign up for case status updates to receive updates via email or text. USCIS will notify you about ur case when they make a decision or if they need something from you. Good luck.

Yeah, the updates aren't always precise. Calling USCIS now won't help much, they'll tell you to allow 30 days(I think it is) from filing if they haven't got your case in the system. I'd give it some days(a week or two) more. Your check has been cashed? It took about 20 days from filing AOS until receiving NOA1 hardcopy for me.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days
