Wouldn't mailing the I-130 package from NVC to GUZ incur the hideous delays in customs that add 3 - 4 months onto the process?

Yes, Exactly. There's a 'dead zone' time that's specific to paper files, there's a huge gap of time between 'NVC OUT' and 'GUZ IV open casefile' timeticks.

When utilising the EP steps, that dead zone o time, 3 to 4 months, is gone.

Also gone is the waiting to get into the scheduling queue, which could be anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks once the paper casefile is opened at GUZ IV.

EP Rocks. Get Some, Soonish (like right after the AOS FEE BILL SHOWS UP VIA EMAIL).

Already in. Got the GUZ number on the 6th and pushed through the EP enrollment last night, confirmed this morning with GZO number.

Trying to get them to cough up the IIN so I can pay the AOS bill now.

That is a long delay...

I honestly don't know. Maybe once they find out you're doing EP, they mail the I-130 right away, before a case complete, saving some time. Or maybe they scan the I-130 package and email it to GUZ.

If I start asking them for the AOS Fee bill on the phone, will they generate it? When I called them earlier they were just saying things like 'we just got the case yesterday' and 'please wait 10 days' blah blah blah.

Since then, I've been back over to China two more times. The initial evidence dump was around 230 pages or so. Anyone think I need to send in more at DS-230 time?

I called NVC again this morning, no case number yet, i am being anxious now

Ugh me too! We received our NOA2 on Jan. 19th and the NVC received our case on the 31st but still no case number. I hope we both get ours this week!!

Call once a day about it , circa 3:30 to 4:30 PM EST, until you DO have it in yer email box. Ask Specifically - Please send me the AOS FEE BILL via email to my email address .
