for forms - for an EP case - need:

1. originals with original signatures - her DS-230 - your I-864

2. her original white book notarial translation thingies

3. YOUR income documents

it's a PITA on an EP case - but basically - everything sent out via email? carry it all on both days (document intake day and interview day)

Still no status on the NVC Expedite Request? WOW.

That's the plan Stan

I figure it is better for her to have more than she may need, as long as it is organized well, than run even the slight risk of them asking her for something she doesn't have and getting the dreaded blue slip for our troubles.

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

Paper work for CR1:

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

the new address will be captured with GUZ IV Packet 3 Supplemental Form.

Can tell me, is that pdf'd DS-3032 that you got in yer email - is it form fillable, or not? Prior versions of this, sent out, were not form fillable and had an old expiration date on it. It's perfectly fine to use the newer DS-3032 in the download link on the EP wiki page, to OPT IN again. IMO - if what you received is not form fillable, it's the old version still, and a piece o #######. It's only benefit is the barcode, and for an EP casefile - this isn't required on the DS-3032 form.

Thanks! Now you pointed it out, I just noticed that the DS-3032 from NVC email is old & NOT form fillable with the expiration date of 12/31/2006! With you and Ryan's confirmation, I just sent my OPTIN email with previously downloaded and signed DS-3032 form.

My a.m. daily call report: "We received your petition at this center on the 02/13/2012, please allow 20 business days to assign a case #". Yesterday was "please call within the next 2 weeks" and the day before was "please call between 02/28 and 03/13". Should I at least be glad that they physically received it AT ALL  .

And yes 8 am calling time frame is the best, waiting time is usually 15 seconds. I would say that I like NVC reps more than USCIS.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

She is REQUIRED to bring all of the stuff that you submitted into NVC, BECAUSE it's an EP case, into GUZ IV. HandCarry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Actually, it was me who wasn't clear. :)

Yes, I know you have to bring all the originals that you had previous sent to NVC via the EP case. :)

I just plan on her having more than that on hand in case it is needed for any reason.

For tax transcripts, send the originals. If you ever need them again, you can re-request them from IRS for free.

For the letter of employment, definitely send the original as it has a signature on it. Make a photocopy before sending, so you can have it for your records.

For the pay stubs, I'd suggest sending copies as it might be difficult (possibly impossible) to get original pay stubs back.

2nd time to post...really need some advice on this also please

I have 2008 ($52,000), 2009 ($48,000) and 2010 ($49,000) tax transcripts. I am well over the guide line.

2011 we are applying for ITIN married filing joint and I will also include this and send a copy of the entire doc and supporting documentation.

2011 I worked up until June 28th ($24,000)

2011 Unemployment of ($10,000)

2011 Temp position ($3500.00)

Do I still need a Co-Sponsor?

I started my new job today......so I can ask for a letter from employer. Current position is for ($40,000.00)

However I do have a co-sponsor but would love to do this without her as she is going into open heart surgery in a few weeks and don't have the heart to ask her again if she will...I know she will but I don't want to put any more burden on her right now.

I'm pretty sure you won't be asked for a co-sponsor at NVC. They'll be happy with your 2008 to 2010 tax transcripts, and in the current income box in the form you can write $40,000 since you started working at that new place.

At the interview you might need to show abundant proof that your current income is sufficient so start collecting pay stubs and think of bringing your employment contract and a letter from your employer.
