Are there any forms that need to be filled out for the medical check?

My wife scheduled her appointment for the 24th a few weeks ago and they said to bring a letter with the case number, passport pictures, and money.

I'm assuming we can just print the letter NVC emailed us with our interview appointment information as that has the case number. But I've seen people mention medical history forms in some threads and we don't have anything like that...there has been no contact since our case left NVC.

I'm guessing there aren't any since the hospital didn't list it as something to bring and if other people needed them it is something that varies by embassy/country.

There are forms for the medical but in France the physician has them, it may be the same in Japan. Most of it is filled in by the doctor, from what I understand there's just a small part that must be filled out by the applicant (list of mecial conditions and yes/no boxes). In France it looks like you do it in the waiting room just before the appointment.

People, my wife will be 5 months pregnant in march. I miss her so much and she intend to come to my country to see me with that big belly that I wanna play with so bad...lol I was checking on some websites and noticed that airlines companies allow pregnant woman to take the plane until 7 months. Is it gonna be a good idea to have her come if I got an interview in april or may? We would take pictures to show to CO,attend interview together. Wouldn that a good point to the CO eyes? It would be great for you to have her come to the interview with you, but you know it depends if her doctor allows her to fly at that time. Some women are told not to travel pretty early in the pregnancy, it depends on different factors. It's hard to say now if she'll be able to fly in 3 months.

Ok. She is willing to come on by birthday in march, I do not know if the doctor will allow her to. This would be great, even though she could not come back after march, we would take some nice pictures of me playing with that belly, this would surely increase my chance of getting approved. Anyways, I pray God that the doctor allow her to come either before or during interview.

What's the status of the expedite request at NVC ?

Just make sure the marriage certificate is exactly what they describe on Department of State website:

Marriage Certificates

Available. If the marriage took place after July 1, 1991, the marriage record can be obtained from the local tax office of the Swedish Tax Administration (Skatteforvaltningen), which covers the area of residence at the time of marriage. If the marriage took place before July 1, 1991, an extract from the marriage register (Utdrag Ur Aktenskapsbok) can be obtained from the parish office (Pastorsambetet) or (Personbevis) from the Tax Administration (Skatteforvaltningen).

If it's already what you sent, then tell them you want a supervisor to review the one they already got, cause it is the correct document.

They have the correct document and they are being difficult~ I spoke with supervisor and they said it would be reviewed. So I called a week later and they said that the review said that I needed to send the marriage certificate. So I told them that my husband went back to the TaxAAdministration and got the very same document we had sent with our I130 and that the NVC has! She says...'then send it again'. I told her it is an exact copy of what you have.... then she got aggravated and told me to SEND IT AGAIN!....

It is like talking in circles!

And the journey begins!

Sorry. Those instructions have been online for much time.

It is amazing that this forum has better instructions than the US Department of Sate website! I really feel for those who have not found Visa Journey! And for those who do not read every post on this site, it is unfortunate to have missed these nuances!

And the journey begins!

:bonk:

The odds are that the second time, they're gonna like it... Unfortunately I think there isn't much you can do right now but send it again. You could also try to speak with a supervisor again.

I feel like it's the main issue with NVC document intake, they just don't know how to deal with documents coming from all over the world... At the embassy they know what your civil documents look like in this particular country.

For France, NVC requests documents in a format which is NOT what the embassy wants. Crazy people. Knowing that, I sent my civil documents in both formats and put post-its saying "as requested by NVC" and "as requested by USEM Paris"...

I don't know what people who haven't found visajourney do! Their case probably takes over a year, and they must spend several months at NVC instead of a couple weeks like most members here! I did think that the DOS website instructions for the IV package were really terrible, I wouldn't know what to do without the guides on VJ.
