IV package will be sent today. We have all my document ( beneficiary) ready except the IV fee bill that is showed in progress. I talked to NVC they say the payment will show " Paid" either friday or monday of the next week. We want to save a few days. Isn t it a good idea proceeding so people?

Not a good idea. It takes 1-2 business for the payment to clear, so you have to wait. You're not gonna get anything faster by sending it early, since your AOS package is not ready to be sent yet.

However if there was a problem with the payment, your package could be rejected and your original documents lost in limbo for a while.

There's really no reason to risk it!

They can be sent separately, but they cannot be sent before the corresponding fee was cleared.

I'm with Laure. You should always wait before a fee appears as PAID in the payment portal before sending it. Like she said, if there's a problem with the payment and you've sent the documents, then the package could be stuck in limbo for awhile. Just wait the extra few days for it to clear on the site. While you're waiting, have your wife put everything in order, go over the forms a few times, paperclip it together with the bar-coded cover sheet as the first page, and put it in an envelope. Then have the address ready to go with the addresses on it as well as postage. That way, as soon as the payment clears, your wife can just drop off the package at a post office.

CURRENT income means, well, CURRENT = 2012. So if you got a raise this year, in 2012, then use that new amount. Then include an employment letter and a recent pay stub (more than 1 if they don't show a YTD amount) as proof of CURRENT income.

For your 2011 tax information, that will be on another question where it asks for last year's income or most recent year's income.

But you told me i can not send IV package since AOS are not ready. That means i have to get AOS ready first to be able to send IV package

No. You can send whichever one you want first. It's just the payment has to be cleared first (aka PAID on the payment portal). As they're both SEPARATE tracks, NVC doesn't care which you send first.

Provide Pay statement showing the $ amount before and after even tho your W2 form shows a different salary. Usually all Pay statement will show the $ amount pre-tax and I would suggest you submit last 6 months of pay statements within your 2009-2010-2011 (if you already filed for 2011) tax PLUS tax transcript. You have to be a step ahead of their potential questions.

That's what I'm planning to do anyway.

You don't need to submit pay stubs from previous years. And if your pay stubs show a YTD amount on each one, then you really only need to submit the most recent pay stub as it will show your YTD income.

And of course their previous W2 is going to show a lower income as they just got this raise this year. That's fine. They'll have last year's income (2011) and then the current income (2012) which will be higher, proving to NVC that they're consistently earning more money as the years pass.

No no, what I meant was since your AOS package is not ready to go yet, there's no reason in rushing to send the IV package: it's not like it's the very last thing they need to complete your case. Waiting for the payment to be PAID is not slowing you down, since they're also waiting for the other package as well.

Yes, you CAN send the packages separately, but what Laure was saying is that sending your IV package a few days early isn't going to save you any time (i.e. get to case complete faster) because you still aren't ready to send your AOS package. You need both for the case complete, so sending one before your payment is showing up as PAID isn't going to make a difference if the other one is still going to take a few days to be ready to send. Make sense?

EDIT: Oops, Laure beat me to it. :)
